Lucky Homestay Hiriketiya

DET BEDSTE OPHOLD PÅ HELE SRI LANKA. Allerede var start blev vi blæst bagover af familiens gæstfri og skønne sted. Vi ankom og fik kokosnødder og en lille snak med moren og faren så skønne. Stedet ligger perfekt med kun 5 minutter til stranden. De laver det bedste morgenmad, hvor man får smagt en masse forskelligt traditionelt sri lankask morgenmad. Vi tog et madlavningskursus, de var både sjovt og enormt lærerigt. Vi spillede også et traditionelt sri lankask spil med familien:))) Alt i alt et helt fantastisk sted og kan ikke anbefale det det nok.

Such a lovely homestay experience! The family here are so cheerful and friendly 😁 The room is clean, cosy and homely! Such a nice little outdoor kitchen area with little bar stools where I commonly saw monkeys and peacocks passing by! In a great location down a quiet street with so much wildlife but only about 10-15mins walk away from the main part of town/Hiriketiya Beach. The breakfast is also varied everyday and delicious! Beautiful homemade food made by the family from their kitchen/restaurant ‘the village’ Such a great experience that I will always remember 😊

Nothing, perfect!

The family are literally the nicest people ever, so accomodating and lovely to speak to. They also have a restaurant so easy to eat, great breakfast in the morning too.

Room is small but definitely manageable

Host family were very nice. Room was decent but a little cramped for space. Aircon worked well. We had laundry done here also which was very convenient. Traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was served each morning, which was excellent and varied each day.

Location is around a 10/15 minute walk from the centre but the accommodation is at the bottom of a steep hill. Wasn’t a problem for us but just to note.
