The hostel did well at the “extra details” that you don’t really need, but then did pretty badly at the core elements that you actually do need from a hostel. For example, the lockers were not secure (it transpired that they used cheap padlocks with keys that are interchangeable between padlocks) and they do not have luggage storage which is frustrating for people who are staying for a long weekend and need somewhere to keep their bag on the second day while out exploring. Luckily the girls in my room were nice, but there was absolutely zero social vibe and the teeniest little living room set up where it would have been difficult to have socialised. The location is good (although unbearably noisy on a Saturday night, but that’s the pay off for a fantastic location), the property is clean and well maintained and the beds were comfortable - so it is good in that respect - but if you’re a solo traveller looking for a sociable vibe this one is not it.
