Perfect location and amazing cathedral view

The best feature of this studio is its location and view. Lovely! You can almost touch the cathedral. It is self-catering and there are all the necessary utencils, but no coffee, tea, milk or anything else, so buy provisions before checking in. Matteo quickly provided the code to get the keys and although we never met, it was easy to get in and leave again. It was an icy night outside, but cosy inside. From here it is easy to explore Chartres, not just the cathedral. I recommend the night tour with the tourist "train" that departs next to the cathedral to see the light shows.

The lack of soap and coffee - I should have read the description better, but thought basics like that would be provided.

The sofa bed was not terribly comfortable . It would have been nice to have the fridge on when we arrived . The door was difficult to shut properly on departure without slamming !

Whilst it is in a great location I won’t be booking again if I go back to Chartes.

The location was great. The bed comfortable and the shower worked well. I didn’t use the kitchen.

There was no wifi. Customer reviews show it at 10/10 but there is none. Whilst I understand the owner doesn’t write the reviews this needs to be changed. I would not have booked anywhere with no WiFi!! The room was ‘worn’ - bottom front door lock hanging off, two plug sockets came away from the wall when used. The shower door is held on by a jubilee clip. The bed sheet may have been clean but was stained (not nice). The room needs some TLC and quick.

Exceptional Apartment in Every Way !!!

I loved everything from start to finish about this exceptional property. Reservations were easy, host communicates right away. Very clear instructions. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable in the best location right next to the cathédrale. I’m looking forward to staying there again and again.

Location by cathedral was attractive.

Insecure, looked like door had been broken into many times. Stairwell was dirty. We did not stay. Notified manager we were not staying. If you were a student backpacking this might be a place to stay. Not for mature adults on holiday.

Unzuverlässiger und frecher Vermieter

Nichts, da wir nicht in die Wohnung kamen.

Obwohl wir von Booking eine Buchungsbestätigung erhalten hatten, haben wir keinen Zugangscode erhalten. Die Buchung war kurzfristig am gleichend Abend erfolgt und wurde sofort von Booking bestätigt; zeitliche Einschränkungen beim Zugang waren nicht erwähnt. Als wir dann um 23h an der Unterkunft ankamen, hatten wir keine Zugangscode erhalten. Auf WhatsApp, Anrufe und Klopfen hat niemand geantwortet. Als wir dann nach Mitternacht noch immer niemanden erreicht hatten, mussten wir uns für den dreifachen Preis ein Hotel am Ort suchen, wo wir dann mit unserer kleinen Tochter gegen 1.30h morgens endlich eine Unterkunft hatten. Auf meine Nachrichten hat der Mieter dann drei Tage später mit einer frechen Antwort reagiert, ich solle mir nächstes Mal einfach eine Unterkunft suchen, die stornierbar ist. Leider war Booking.com auch nicht hilfreich. Dort war in der Nacht auch niemand zu erreichen außer einer KI die den Namen Intelligenz nicht verdient. Es hat Wochen und zahlreiche Nachrichten benötigt, bis Booking zumindest die Unterkunft, die wir nicht nutzen konnten, erstattet hat. Auf den Mehrkosten für das Hotel sind wir sitzen geblieben - katastrophaler Service trotz Genius-3 Level. Auf Nachrichten kamen nach mehreren Wochen nur nicht auf das Thema passende vorgefertigte Antworten. Und das obwohl ich in den vergangenen Jahren für viele 1000 EUR über Booking gebucht habe.

Prachtige locatie in een middeleeuwse woning naast de kathedraal.

Het appartement ligt aan de noordzijde van de kathedraal. Het is daar, hoewel het een toeristische hotspot is vrij rustig, met name ‘s nachts. Vanuit hier kun je makkelijk de gehele stad en de beroemde kathedraal bekijken.

De inrichting voorziet in veel basisbehoeften maar is volstrekt te gedateerd, rommelig en incompleet. Dat moet echt worden vernieuwd. De verhuurder, Matteo, is een zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame jongeman die het je graag naar je zin wil maken. Hij reageert meteen op vragen. Mijn sleutel van de voordeur was afgebroken en binnen een uur was alles geregeld.

L’appartement est en moins bon état que sur les photos. La porte est abîmée, la connexion est quasi inexistante et il n'y a aucun pas de Wifi. Par ailleurs aucun équipement de base (sèche-cheveux, gel douche, shampoing) n’était fourni.

À faire, bonne pioche pour être proche de la cathédrale et pouvoir y aller entre les offices

Super propre, le seul petit bémol c’est que le lit ne soit pas dans une chambre séparée, bon, notre amie a dormi à dans la même pièce , pas de gravité. Propriétaire très réactif. Bien aménagé! S’endormir les fenêtres ouvertes en entendant un concert classique dans la cathédrale juste à côté : waaaa! Et se faire réveiller à 8:00 par une volée de cloches déchaînées a été une expérience amusante ! Suffisamment de restaurants autour, boulangeries… Bref: un chouette week-end

Un cocon douillet et fonctionnel au pied de la cathédrale...

Le logement est un petit cocon idéalement placé sur la place de la cathédrale avec vue directe sur celle-ci, proche de toutes les commodités, des commerces et restaurants et facilement accessible à pieds ou en transports. Il est confortable, accueillant et très bien équipé. Il ne manque rien pour passer une nuit douillette ou un bon séjour en centre ville. Tout a été simple et fluide au niveau de la prestation.
