Serenity Heights

The homestay is managed by a lovely couple. During our stay, we were the only guests as it was the off season. But they were always checking if we needed anything. It was rainy days, clouds were coming into the rooms. They provided an extra blanket if we needed one. The house was close to the main road but the room was on the backside, so it was quiet at night. It's out of town but very close to the lake so we walked around it. There is also a local restaurant right across the street who provided good food at a reasonable price. Overall, it was a good experience. Pick me tuktuk works there anytime so we didn't face any issues moving around.

The internet was a bit slow but that's the case in most homestays of Sri Lanka. Floors were very cold due to the season. I wish they had some slippers. But can't complain, we got slippers in one of eleven homestays during our Sri Lanka tour. The Sri Lankan breakfast was a bit spicier than we could handle. It's a good experience but if you're in Sri Lanka for a while, it could be tough for you too.

El anfitrión súper atento, pendiente en todo momento de lo que necesita. Cama bastante cómoda.

Wifi no funciona

One night stay at the lovely homestay. The husband took us on a walk round the local Pedro tree plantation. After our walk, the host very made a delicious traditional breakfast, also a lovely curd, toast, we could not eat, as it was all too much.

El wifi no funcionava, i deien que l’arreglarien. Van acabar compartint-nos dades amb un mòbil, però tenia 20% de bateria i sense carregador, pel que va durar poc. L’allotjament necessita una capa de pintura, i renovar les finestres i portes, ja que no tanquen bé i entra l’aire. A l’hivern pot ser bastant dificil de dormir.
