Excellent location in the heart of the historic center of Chiavari. Ample parking nearby, and the train station is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Positives about the apartment itself: Comfortable mattresses on the beds. A good bathroom with washing machine for your clothing. Generally, new and not outdated furniture. And very good sound insulation. You won't hear a peep from the loud and busy historic street below. Being located directly over a bakery and only a one minute walk from pretty much all cafes for your Italian espresso runs, lunches and dinners is guaranteed within a one to two minute walk. And, your late night gelato delights are also right around the corner. Last but not least: the beach. The nearest beach is a 10 minute walk from the apartment, mostly a shadow rich route through the city's covered galeries.

The airconditioning unit has been placed in the wrong part of the living area, leading to the following issue: at 16 degrees on the turbo setting, the unit itself puts out a measured 10 degrees air temperature, however at a 1 meter distance that air is 24,9 degrees Celcius and at the seat on the sofa nearest to the air conditioning, the air temperature doesn't go below 26,5 degrees. The bedrooms didn't get below 28 degrees, same as the outside temperature on the evenings of our vacation. This seriously needs to be solved, because sleeping at 28+ degrees is like having no air conditioning at all. The second issue is the quality of the sofa bed when folded out into bed mode. The underlying raster is not flat, making it so uncomfortable for adults that their backs start hurting. In our case our teenage and adult sons had to take the mattress off the sofa bed and slept on the floor for the duration of the vacation. The third issue is the advertised internet in the apartment. Internet is provided with a GSM (SIM-card) router. This is a non-functional setup. Over the course of the vacation I have measured the internet speeds, and these always came back between 0,18 Mbps and 1,6 Mbps. This is barely enough to pull in or send an email. That does not qualify as functional internet in this era. On the bench directly outside the apartment (in front of the bakery) cell phone internet speeds are more decent, so chance exist that slow internet in the apartment is caused by very good sound insulation of the windows. Remote work in the apartment, either via your cell phone's hotspot or via this router setup will not work. Neither will streaming services to watch a movie or your favorite YouTube channel be possible. Lastly, the kitchen is really more of a kitchenette and not truly usable for serious cooking and family dinners.

Siamo ritornati in questa struttura perché ci eravamo trovati molto bene, la casa è deliziosa, pulita e dotata di tutto il necessario, situata in centro paese ma comoda anche per raggiungere le spiagge. La proprietaria molto carina e disponibile, consiglio sicuramente.

Le scale di ingresso sono un po'ripide ma è una caratteristica tipica di quelle abitazioni storiche, però se non ci sono particolari difficoltà motorie con un minimo di attenzione si percorrono senza problemi.

Alloggio perfetto, nuovo, comodo e spazioso. Host immediatamente disponibile. Aspettative totalmente confermate. Posizione strategica, ottima per tutto.
