I had a pleasant stay at Urban Suite Penang. The 3-bedroom homestay was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. All the necessary facilities and amenities were provided, making the stay convenient for families and groups.

The only downside was the elevator waiting time, which could be quite long, especially during peak hours. Other than that, everything was excellent. Overall, I would recommend this homestay and would consider staying here again.

We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights with our family. The apartment itself was spacious enough for our group and ultimately served its purpose. The owner was also polite, responsive, and apologetic when we informed them about the issue.

Unfortunately, our check-in experience was very disappointing. Although we only reached the unit at around 3:15 pm (after waiting quite some time for the lift because many guests were checking in simultaneously), we were surprised to find two pairs of slippers outside the apartment. When we entered, there were still three cleaners (two men and one woman) frantically cleaning, and the unit was far from ready. My children excitedly sat on the sofa while waiting, but I noticed several strands of hair on it. When I politely pointed this out and asked if it could be vacuumed, the female cleaner reacted with visible frustration, throwing up her hands and gesturing towards my children as if it was our fault she couldn't finish cleaning. I found her attitude quite unprofessional, especially since it was already past the official check-in time and we were fully entitled to be there. I immediately informed the owner and sent photos of the kitchen, which was still in a messy state. The owner handled the situation professionally and apologised, for which I am grateful. We waited about another 20 minutes before the cleaning was finally completed. During that time, I overheard the cleaner telling the owner that only the mopping was left to do, which was simply not true, as several areas were still unfinished. Overall, the apartment itself was comfortable and suitable for our stay, but the delayed handover, rushed cleaning, and the cleaner's attitude left a poor first impression. I hope the owner addresses this with the cleaning team, as it would greatly improve the experience for future guests. Overall, I would rate the stay 3 out of 5 stars. The accommodation itself was good, but the check-in experience and housekeeping standards prevented it from being a truly enjoyable stay.
