About this house rental
Enjoy Waihi Beach from this classic family-friendly bach, With beach access just 200 metres away, via the reserve directly across the road and adjacent to the popular Island View Children's Playground [Playspace of the year - 2024].
Bach116 is perfectly situated on a fully fenced sunny section. Take in the ocean views from the front and the countryside behind. The heart of this classic renovated bach is the ocean-facing open-plan living, kitchen, and dining space. Large sliding doors open onto an elevated front deck creating the perfect spot to enjoy the view over your morning coffee or family barbeque.
Outdoor stairs provide deck access down into the large fenced yard, or the deck itself can be fully enclosed by shutting the childproof gate.
Sleeps 7:
Bedroom 1; Queen bed
Bedroom 2; Queen bed
Bunkroom 3; 1 single bed and 2 in single bunk
Note Bedroom 2 provides access to the bunkroom - refer to pictures.
All bedrooms are light-filled and bathed in the afternoon sun.
One bathroom with shower and washing machine.
Flexible dual access to the toilet from the bathroom or external door provides convenience during summer days playing in the large yard.
Other amenities include:
Outdoor hot water shower.
Heat pump – keeping the place toasty warm for romantic winter getaways.
Fibre-based Wi-Fi, Sky TV, Chromecast and good cell coverage.
A modern kitchen with a full-size fridge-freezer, dishwasher, small oven, microwave, electric cooktop, air fryer, toaster, filter coffee machine and smoothie blender,

As per Kiwi bach tradition, you are welcome to bring your own towels, beach towels, sleeping bag, duvet, and pillow - sheets provided.
Full linen can be provided at an additional cost this must be requested per bed at the time of booking.

Had a wonderful week at bach 116 with my 2 year old (and some quick visits by his dad and grandparents). Section is fully fenced and so spacious, perfect for kids. Great slope for rolling toy trucks down . The deck area is also fenced if you want to keep wee one contained to smaller area. Views of paddocks from one side and ocean from the other. So good! All of the amenities you could possibly need and so many extra additions/touches you wouldn’t have thought of but made so much difference. Nice quick walk to beach and also easy walk to main strip of shops, cafes and restaurants. The hosts had left us some orange juice and a little bottle of milk in fridge as well as coffee for the filter machine. They’d also left us a bag of chips, reduced cream and onion soup powder for dip! Loads of thought and care has gone into making this a special and comfortable place. The hosts communicated brilliantly and even offered to let us stay later than check out as there was a weather warning in place for the day we were leaving. The bed in front room was SO comfy and with the sound of the ocean in the distance, I slept better than I have in a long time! We definitely hope to visit again.
