About this house rental
The retreat has become a favorite for larger groups 4-6 with repeat visitors.
We have now got our winter rates set and our corporate bookings will attract more competitive rates so send us an inquiry.
New Zealand has some of the best value guest accommodation when compared to many countries, the Retreat is close to many NZ attractions and sights and we as owners are only too happy to help plan your trip if you need help on what to visit. Classed as a pretty central North Island hub Tauranga is within 1-2 Hrs of some of the best things NZ can offer.
longer stays are more of the case with groups and corporate teams staying 15-30 days. Used by corporate teams and business for a base while in the bay with extended parking and great facilities.
Some of our guests from overseas stay up to 4 months and our visitors book reflects those longer stays as a home from home.
Our retreat has been an ideal location for all travelers NZ and overseas.
Ideal for wedding groups.
Chill out or gather the 3 bedroom secluded bungalow/ retreat is in a country setting, Mins from the new Crossing Mall, shops and 5-10 Min from Mount Maunganui Beach.
Fernland Spa is only moments away just 2-3 minutes drive and Ideal place to soak after being busy in the bay at open until 10pm most nights.
Leverette Mills Reef Winery now relocated about 20 minutes towards katikati provides some of the best wine tasting available in NZ and the Winery provides that classic cellar location for an afternoon to sample award winning wines.
Large tranquil getaway but close to all city amenities and some of the best beaches in New Zealand. A very large 3 bedroom secluded bungalow that is self contained, down a private road in a country setting
A short walk to a cafe / garden ctr for breakfast or lunch (7 days). An ideal place to be in the BAY.
Two mountain bikes and a double Kayak available.

Overall the property was positioned in a lovely setting and the host made himself easily accessible and attended and assisted us when and if required. The disappointing part was the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom. It appeared to us that basic cleaning had been done but the kitchen and bathroom needed a deep clean. We discovered disused takeaway food wrappers in the back of the kitchen cupboard which permeated a terrible smell when opening the cupboards. The stove top and oven were basically clean however the warming drawer was full of food scraps and mold. It was obvious a quick vacuum may have been done but the cobwebs and insects on the ceiling line and the corners of the rooms had been overlooked. There was a vacuum cleaner provided and we vacuum the insects and the cob webs. Additionally in the kitchen area we uplifted the microwave and other bench positioned appliances and cleaned underneath them as it was all very oily/dusty and we found that this along with the takeaway food container items attracted very large undesirable cockroaches. Additionally the knife and fork drawer was dirty. We removed all the utensils and cleaned the drawer liner. We based our booking at this location based on the attractive photographs and the reviews of 10/10 for cleanliness. We believe that the cleanliness review needs to be revised and addressed. We did drawer our concerns to the attention of the host and we believe/hope they will be addressed.
