Accommodation Te Puna

We had 4 chalets for our two teams visiting for a 4 day sports tournament. It was good having 2 bedrooms and another bed in the living area. Nice and spacious living area. The kitchen was ample for cooking meals. The showers were nice and hot. Many of our players used the pool after their games were done for the day. We had 2 x 10 seater vans and a pickup truck with no problems for parking. There are shops within walking distance. The chairs on the porch were great for relaxing after dinner. The duty manager was considerate and understanding for the duration of our stay. It was handy having the laundry facilities onsite. It felt like a safe environment as we had some younger players. It was lovely coming back to the peacefulness each night.

Two of our players found dead bugs in their bed. One of our players found ants in the jug and saw a few walking along the the wall by the stove as well. One of our players had a moth come out of the body wash in the shower. Some of the players said their beds were uncomfortable.

It was nice and quiet. The room was very clean.

NA

Spacious and clean

More of a Google maps issue but very minor; it’ll direct you past the property to make a u turn to come back to access it.

Location was great

It was freezing. The heat pump was useless and there wasn’t any extra bedding. Our first night was cold. It took a good 12 hours for the heat pump to heat the room. The noise from the road is terrible and the plumbing from next door was really loud. It kept waking us through the night. Not much sleep was had.
