Beds were comfortable
Nice towels - good size
Great pub just over the road from the property, nice atmosphere & good food.
When we arrived the aga was on full blast, so the house was baking hot, it was warm outside, so absolutely unbearable! We contacted John & he talked us through how to turn it down, it took ages to cool down. However, we tried to tell him of our disappointment on first impressions how sad the property & garden looked against the photos, the property had definitely been "dressed" for photos. As he couldn't hear me (due to bad mobile reception) a WhatsApp was sent with some photos to John & he replied that regular maintenance was carried out on the property & money was spent to keep the property looking good, he said that our feedback was hard to hear but it would be sent onto the owners. Personally, we could not see that money had been spent, especially on the garden & patio area.
The house was clean, apart from a few things, (shower head, extractor fan above the shower, light shade at the top of the stairs). The stair carpet could do with a clean.
The garden was unkempt, overgrown in parts & full of weeds & garden furniture really weathered & worn, some chairs were broken.
As we were only there 3 nights & we had planned full days we weren't in the property that much.
We didn't think it was value for money & unfortunately we would not recommend or return.
