Good set up - loved the outside space, the play room and swimming pool. Good facilities in the cottage.

Just to ensure standards are kept high a guest in our party suggested: “A couple of little things outside woodwork could do with a staining, toilet roll holder kept falling of the wall, front door not the easiest to lock/unlock, but really liked the whole set up”

Perfect for young families

Everything was very clean and fresh, lovely to have a small bottle of milk in the fridge already. The play area for the children were great and the pool was very clean and the perfect temperature. It is located in a lovely rural setting with very quick and easy access to everything you could need, lots of shops, beaches and everything in between all within 30 mins from the door.

Excellent property to stay with family.

I highly recommend this converted barn property where I stayed during Christmas. It was excellent, featuring cozy fireplaces, a great play area for kids, and a variety of indoor games. The bedrooms offered outstanding views of the farm, and the family-sized pool was warm and inviting. Just a short 10-minute drive from Torquay, the owner's thoughtful Christmas decorations added a festive touch.

Fantastic visit

We loved our stay here. Fantastic play space, swings and pool. The well equipped house had everything we needed and was spacious. It was the perfect play to stay with family and keep everyone busy.

The play barn could use some smaller toys. I got the impression these had been removed for covid.

great for large groups with young family.

This place is great if you are a group with young children. The swimming pool was fab and there was so much space outside with a whole section with a climbing frame and boat for the little ones to play on. There was plenty of room inside and the heating was nice and warm. The fire was also fab. Perfect for what we wanted.

the play barn was really cold so it wasn't the best place for us to sit in whilst the kids were playing despite it looking like the perfect area. that was what sold it for us being a group of 3 families with 4 kids under 4. It could do with a few more toys to play with for the little ones and the carpet on the stairs needs re-doing - one of ours had an accident.

Place is just amazing. I truly recommend it to the families. Our property was specious enough for 2+1, very well equipped. Swimming pool and play room are just fantastic addition to stay. Fireplace in our little cottage was lovely.

Much needed peaceful short stay,would visit again

The cottages are in a very peaceful area yet still convenient for the main routes, a quaint very clean cottage with everything you need except EGG CUPS but improvised with other things!! Great swimming pool and lots to keep children occupied. Would visit again

The location was beautiful and peaceful with great views and a short car ride to shops. The pool was fabulous, a god send because it rained most of the week.

Although the cottage has been renovated to a nice standard there were a couple of things that could be addressed. The tv in the sitting room was old and not great, I think that there could be tv’s in the bedrooms, we travelled with a 4 year old, 3 year old twins and an 11 year old. A couple of bedroom tv’s would have been useful. The bifold doors didn’t open properly. The books and board games were taken away due to Covid and also the toys from the play barn, there were balls missing from the pool table. I think the Covid issue isn’t as it was so these things could be returned and people would have the choice to use them or not. The trampoline netting is ripped and so unsafe to use, it looks like it has been like this for a long time. It was very dirty. The female changing rooms stank of urine? we couldn’t use them. The lights in the house were very dim, maybe they could be swapped for LED’s. I hate to complain but this is my view. It’s a shame that check is after 4.30 pm and checkout is 10am as it feels like you have lost a day off the week. We had wanted to have a last swim with the kids on Friday morning but couldn’t as the pool is cleaned then.

Magic Long Barn Cottages. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The indoor pool was perfect for us. The HUCCABY COTTAGE was beautiful inside and out. Great kitchen and garden was wonderful to sit out in first thing in the morning. We came as 2 support workers with 3 young men who we support to live as independently as possible and they made it a home from home immediately. The location is also perfect. (driving along the single track roads was an adventure but in our mini bus we managed it no problem) just 14 mins from Torquay and 16 minutes to Paignton. Devon is beautiful and Long Barn is a real jewel in its Crown. We will definitely be back and I have recommended it to close family and friends also. I would love to come down with my own family for a week in the near future.

Excellent and would definitely go back!

The facilities and accommodation were amazing, we had an amazing time and everything was even better than it looked on the website. We had days out booked but you could easily stay at the cottage and not be bored with all there is on offer with the garden and play area and swimming pool and indoor play area. The swimming pool area was so good, all of us really enjoyed it especially the kids.

Blackout blinds in all the rooms would be a great addition. Not all the smaller toys were available but this was through no fault of the owners and just down to covid and we managed fine without them.
