Good location clean and roomy

Could have done with a small wardrobe

The property is in need of a small touch up of paint otherwise I had a great stay.

The front door was a little bit hard to close or it maybe me not wanting to slam it, also I feel a wee step needs adding by the door as it was high up and when you come out you forget about the height. ( I’m not tall )

We were hiking the South Downs Way & booked as one of our stops to rest after a 25K walk. The beds were comfy & the place was clean & well equipped. It absolutely poured with rain & we were walking with backpacks & luckily the place had a heated towel rail & storage heating so we could dry our shoes & clothes. We didn't meet the hosts but that was fine as didn't have a problem with the lock box. There was milk, tea & coffee provided. We ordered food from via uber as the pub in the nearby village was about a 25 minute walk along a very busy & fast 40 mph country road which was not a great road to walk with lots of blind bends. A nice stay though.

The property wasn't signed outside so we took a while walking up & down the road trying to find it. Nothing to do with the property but if you're walking the SDW this is quite a long way away from it. Luckily the train line that runs directly behind the property only woke us once at night.

Location was great for what we needed, it was clean too. Lock box for keys so was easy to get in/out.

Everyone’s preference in bed will be different but the spring mattress wasn’t comfortable as I could feel the springs. Also I hadn’t realised it was so close to a train track and when the train goes past you could feel it vibrate the floor, which wasn’t a huge deal but just something to bare in mind noise wise.
