Appia Boutique Apartment

The apartment has everything you need for a very comfortable stay in taormina. It is in an excellent location, right on the main walking street. Everything is in walking distance. The apartment itself is very spacious and modern. The bathroom is excellent, with two rain showers and two normal showers and a bench, as good as a 5 star hotel. Perfect for relaxing after a day of walking in the heat. The couch folds out to a comfortable queen size mattress, ideal if travelling with children. There is a small kitchen including a fridge and a dishwasher. Plenty of space for our toddler to crawl around. Would definitely book this again.

The location was amazing, right on the main street in Taormina. I was worried about the apartment being noisy as it is RIGHT in the centre of everything but the reviews said that it was quiet and it really was. The triple / quadruple glazing is amazing! There are two balconies / terraces and it was fun being able to look at the crowds below from above. In the daytime and evening the street is absolutely jam packed so it was a respite being able to get away from the throng and look from above. In the morning the street was deserted apart from deliveries and the early walking tours. A great location to see the main street in two very different scenarios. We were met by Gianluca who was delightful. He showed us around the apartment and gave us some local tips. The apartment was bigger than I thought and we didn't realise it had two bathrooms. The big bathroom is a delight! It is like a spa. We all said we have never had a shower that good, ever! And don't get me started on the toiletries - amazing! Everything is super high end and the finish on everything is top notch - I wish I could live in that apartment. Lovely extra touches like treats in the fridge, the beds and bedding were so comfortable. Did I mention the spa bathroom?!

The apartment was in the heart of Taormina. You could walk everywhere. The Airbnb was so clean and the amenities were amazing. You can use the kitchen and cook. There’s a grocery store nearby would definitely come back.

The only thing that I would recommend to the host is looking at the AC unit in the bedroom it works however it doesn’t get very cold. If you’re traveling in the summer, the AC unit in the family room is perfect and there is a pullout couch.
