The Shak

The layout, cleanliness and facilities available were perfect. We made contact to confirm when we could arrive, and The Shak was ready and waiting for us! Everything was available and ready that you would expect - beds were very comfortable with power for devices made more accessible. The sofa is very comfortable (and the TV being on a hinge means you can move it to be visible from the sofa!) Tea was available which made my partner very happy The shower is so warm (better than the one we have at home actually!)

Not in the properties control - taxi companies didnt want to come out to there. There is nothing that we would improve about the property!

It was clean and tidy.comfortable seating/bed.everything i needed in the kitchen for cooking etc.

The Tv signal sometimes went .

What a lovely apartment, was cool inside on a very hot day which was great. Extremely clean an had a homely feel. Everything imaginable was provided by the host that you might need during your stay. Comfy beds, nice sofa and 2 tvs . Kitchen and dining area had several different products that could be used for cooking. Cleaning products etc. Lovely shower in the bathroom. Spacious and lots of light. I dont smoke but there was a nice smoking area outside with a bench. There was a good space outside to park my car, which was much appreciated. We stayed here whilst going to Banham zoo do, and it was very close to the zoo. I would definitely stay here again.

The door to the Shak was very temperamental. The handle was very stiff to push down to open and difficult to lock. Arriving back late after a family party I could not unlock the door, had difficulty contacting the owner and thought I was going to have to sleep in my car with the temperature being -2C outside. Eventually the owner arrived and he too had difficulty opening the door, stating that in the country they didn't lock doors. As a mature female on her own I felt very uncomfortable possibly not being able to secure the property.
