5-Bedroom Cottage in New Waltham, Grimsby

We loved that the house was spacious, had a modern feel and was in a great location. There was plenty of room for our family and children, making it a comfortable place to stay. Although some of the furniture was a little dated, this didn’t take away from the overall experience. The property has lots of potential, and we enjoyed our stay overall.

There were a few things that could be improved during our stay. The house could do with a little TLC, particularly the paintwork throughout, as there were quite a few marks, dents and chips on the walls. A fresh coat of paint and some general maintenance would make a real difference and help bring the property up to its full potential. The shower in the main bathroom was disappointing, as the water pressure was very poor and it was more of a drip than a proper shower. It would benefit from being descaled or having a new shower head fitted, as it wasn’t a particularly relaxing shower experience. The pillows were also quite hard and uncomfortable to sleep on, so some softer, more comfortable pillows would be a welcome improvement. Unfortunately, the iron provided didn’t work, and there was no hairdryer available. The TV remote also wasn’t immediately visible when we arrived in the late afternoon. We eventually found it tucked down the back of the sofa, so it would have been helpful if it had been left somewhere more obvious. Some of the furniture was also a little dated, although this wasn’t a major issue for us.

The entire house was spotless! Very spacious Very responsive staff to requests made through out the stay!

Very minor - Bath drainage needs a check

Locality is great, very quiet place. The property itself is fantastic, has everything we would need. Town is close by if going by car, so amenities are also easily accessible

Since it's a big property, I would say large number of people would be booking the property. Garbage bags are not enough in such cases. I would recommend have a considerable number of bags kept under the sink in case the guests have a lot of garbage, so that it is easier for us to keep everything bagged for your cleaning staff at the end of the stay
