Great place to stay enjoyed every minute.

Rooms were nice, all the staff were excellent, especially the restaurant Manager. She was very courteous, professional and ensured that my wife and I had a lovely evening. Food was great as well !!!!!

Only stayed in executive rooms in the courtyard but It’s a lovely hotel, stayed many times and will return.

Hidden Gem - not to be missed

It’s a beautiful setting with amazing grounds. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfy and warm. Shower was lovely and powerful. The food was incredible, never had a bad meal. Staff are so friendly and polite and literally can’t do enough for you. The atmosphere is lovely and we just feel so relaxed when we’re here. They treat your digs as one of the guests it’s lovely.

The only thing I could say is just updating the tvs in the rooms for when you return to your room to relax and a little bigger. Other than that nothing it’s amazing

Business stay with colleagues

Hi room very comfortable in the main building. Evening meal with guests was very very good and choice at breakfast also very good with lovely views of the gardens. Did some business work and WIFI also good

Poor Value For Money

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Breakfast excellent and the staff were helpful and efficient.

Very poor toiletries. One tiny bottle of shower gel between 2 people. I was told I could have asked for more! I would suggest that the hotel should put sufficient enough in the room for 2 people to start with! Exactly the same for the small amount of milk sachets for tea and coffee. Same excuse from the hotel and the same response from myself. The hotel is overpriced and trying to be something it's not. Suggest it needs to concentrate more on it's staying and paying customers and less on falling over itself for weddings.

Wonderful, excellent food, wonderful Staff especially the head waiter very welcoming and a great sense of humour! 😂👍🥂

We were in the stables rooms upstairs, very cosy 😊

We like it all, maybe a little more decor in the restaurant to bring out the grandeur of the place & a little more deeper colours in the pig and whistle to make it feel more like a cosy country style pub

I would recommend the venue to friends, but advise them to get more information about meals first.

Our room was very good & the breakfast choices met our needs.

It was a Sunday & my partner & l were there for her birthday. We only had the choice of eating in the bar area with a basic menu. The meal l requested, (Fish) was unavailable.

Fabulous hotel, lovely room, delicious breakfast.

The property was fantastic, very clean, cosy, had a lovely bathroom and very comfort bed. Also set in a relaxing country setting. The breakfast was lovely and staff friendly, polite and helpful.

We liked everything, can’t think or anything we didn’t like!.

Nice hotel, let down by shower and morning reception staff

Evening staff great, nice building and comfortable bed.

Shower did not work, was freezing cold with zero pressure. Morning staff were rude and dismissive about the problem and offered zero compensation. We stayed two nights and made staff aware immediately, asked for this to be fixed or moved room. Neither was done. No apology, no money off the room or our bar bill which would be expected and something I would class as an acceptable apology.

Surprised at the quality for the price.

The room was lovely and spacious, we didn't expect that quality for the price. The evening meal was cooked to perfection, the breakfast was a standard English with several sides as an alternative. Couldn't fault it.

We did book over the Christmas period and wasn't surprised to see large groups in the dining room but add the amount of screaming children it did detract from the experience. Why cant parents control there little treasures rather that let them run riot when others are dining.

One the best breakfasts I've ever had. The staff were utterly delightful and nothing was too much trouble.

Directions to show that you could park right outside the front door of the hotel could have been better as, it was dark when we arrived so we follwed the car park sign and carried our luggage over before realising that you could park right outside the front door.

The room was beautifully stuck in time making it more unique.

If we were to make the room better, the TV could be bigger as it was difficult to read with the distance from the bed to screen. The breakfast was ok but each tray was often empty and filled up slowly so ended up having a breakfast with hardly anything on my plate.

Multiple inexperienced receptionists (i think we must have dealt with at least 5 or 6 in two days), not checking the computer records carefully so on two occasions made mistakes - one to say we had not paid for our stay when I had already been charged 2 days prior; one to say that we owed money for something eaten before we even arrived. Lack of discretion - this was supposed to be a surprise weekend away for my partner's birthday (known from my notes) but as soon as we arrived together the receptionist blurted out to us both that we owed 265 pounds for our visit - quite upsetting since everything was already paid and I did not want my partner to hear the cost.

Very nice place to stay with great staff members.

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Dinner was superb and staff very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious with the same level of attentiveness from the staff as we had at dinner. Will be back without a doubt!

Location of our room was right near the lobby and I could hear a fair amount of general noise from early hours in the morning. Sound proofing or general awareness of noise levels early AM would be advantageous.

We stayed two nights with breakfast included. The food was amazing. However, the hotel had only got us registered for room only on the 2nd day even though we had booked for breakfast to be included. This was quickly rectified as I had saved the booking confirmation.
