Fossdale

The house was well equipped, very clean, warm, and comfortable. Plenty of space for our group of 9 to sit comfortably. Easy access though we had a little trouble with the lock. Lots of bird life even though it was cold and we saw a red squirrel. Would be lovely in the summer. Good walks in the area. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.

Just a couple of niggles. Would have liked a hand towel each rather than just 1 in each bathroom. And a couple of hooks in the bathrooms to hang clothes or towel whilst in the shower and in the bedrooms to hang towels to dry.

Great sized cottage for groups, fab location for visiting the Dales

This is a great sized property for a group get together in an excellent location close to Hawes where you can visit Wensleydale Creamery, local gift shops, galleries, cafes and an excellent fish and chips shop! Rooms were comfortable and clean and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. The host gave clear directions and responded quickly to a request for directions to The Green Dragon pub in Hardraw (walkable and excellent). The property also has the added bonus of a downstairs bedroom and bathroom which makes it a great choice for anyone with mobility issues. Thanks for the lovely welcome pack too

Beautiful stay

House was lovely, plenty of space and well stocked with everything we needed for cooking etc. Great location for walks with the kids and visiting other villages and tourist spots. Would definitely return.

Very steep steps in the garden to get to the grass area with picnic tables on and there is no gate at the top or bottom so not good for young kids but not a huge problem just something to be aware of.

Excellent value cottage in a stunning location.

Quiet & spacious the location was lovely with a fantastic stream side walk 30 seconds from the door. Very well equipped with quality furnishings & linen.

A fabulous week celebrating my husband’s 79th Birthday with family and friends in our favourite place the Yorkshire Dale

Location, location, location. The house is also beautifully presented and very clean. There was plenty of space to accommodate our large family party. The beds are super comfy and the bedding is crisp and fresh. The welcome pack was very much appreciated and top quality. The views from the back garden and bedrooms are exceptional and a beautiful sight to wake up to every morning. Would definitely stay here again. The owners are quick to reply to any queries you have and are very helpful.

We had an amazing stay and enjoyed it so much we have rebooked for next year.

Everything, it was very spacious, warm and welcoming

Although there was lots of cupboards in the kitchen they were all full with equipment which was great but it meant there was nowhere to put food etc Maybe a bigger TV as if your sat at the far end of the room it's seems quite small but it is still watchable
