Sunny Escape in Old Cromwell

Great location and quiet. Very clean and tidy. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was great. House was well appointed - with unexpected extra's such as condiments in the kitchen and ample product in the bathroom. It was a quiet spot with a lovely outdoor setting. Loved the air con in the heat!

Some things starting to break down - some curtain hooks missing, outdoor umbrella tearing up in the wind, and beds a little hard (for us), but these are very small criticisms.

Overall, we thought the place was really well done. We very much enjoyed our 2 days there. The kitchen is very well outfitted. The bath/shower was fine. The beds (at least the one we used) were also very nice. The barbecue was quite new, and excellent. The outdoor area we enjoyed a lot. We even “borrowed” a couple of apricots from your neighbour’s tree (from the part hanging over the fence in your yard).

There were only a couple of minor things, and one less-minor thing, to mention. The kitchen needs a cloth for washing dishes. (We bought some J-cloths to use). Also, the table in the living area needs chairs – at least 2, ideally 4. The little plastic mushrooms, or whatever they were, are a poor excuse for chairs. Thirdly, the lighting is inadequate for anyone who wants to read. A single standing lamp, and maybe bedside reading lamps would help a lot. More significantly, the place has three bedrooms, and presumably could sleep 6 people. But the living area (and kitchen) are barely large enough for two people. You could address this by turning the place into a two-bedroom unit (for four people), and convert the third bedroom to an extension of the living area – i.e., a den. Just a thought.

Easy living, quiet, parking good and central to the greater Cromwell area. All the little things were available that you forget to take! , a tea bag, cleaning product, plenty towels etc
