This biggest plus is the close location to Volcanoes National Park. The studio room itself is decent sized. The walk up thru the trees and outside appearance was nice. It was very quiet too. When we arrived I had a question and the host responded back pretty quickly. We arrived very late and left very early (in hopes of catching the volcano eruption), so we did not use the shower, kitchen or tv at all.
The property was a bit tricky to find at night (there are multiple buildings at the address but nothing really visible from the street that we could see). The room had smaller portable heaters, but they really only work if you can point them right at you and they are not too far away from you. For a couple/pair sharing the bed, one person is right up against the wall so it can be tricky for them to get in/out of bed if they need to use the restroom in the middle of the night. The place could use some updating. Overall it was kind of pricey for what you got, but it worked for us as a simple last minute stay near the park to try and see the volcano eruption.

The location is amazing. Imagine having Volcanoes park on your backyard, literally 5 minutes away. The jacuzzi is great too.
I can see why some people leave so-so and bad reviews. This place is not a 5-star Sheraton or Hilton. But good luck finding those minutes away from National Park. Best value for money in my opinion! One can argue that it needs some maintenance, a touch-up paint job, may he fixing a few things but all you really need is there.

The setting and the view were great.
The place was equipped with one dish, two spoons and a fork. The towels looked really dirty. The TV was antiquated and the provided Fire stick did not work. Bed wasn't too comfortable. The place needed updating. The hot tub was not clean. The instructions for the hot tub specified to not give out the combination to a lock, however there was no lock and it looked like there was a well worn path to the hot tub from a neighboring property.

"Great location if you are visiting Hawaii Volcano National Park, about 10 min drive. There are also restaurants around. I like my rooms, big window look out the forest but still have privacy."
