Disappointing
That we were able to stay together in one self catered space with cooking facilities and a pint of milk waiting in the fridge. The spacious lounge was a bonus and the Christmas Tree was a nice touch.
The welcome.. the host had to go out that evening so left the key for us to collect at the local pub. The communication with him was not particularly polite and very much about what worked for him rather than his guests. There was no wi-fi code at the property and despite two requests from us to the host the wi-fi code didn't arrive so none of our party of 4 guests had wi-fi during the stay. The kitchen area was grubby, the crockery and cutlery too and there was not much of it to go round! The kitchen area smelt of fried breakfasts that hadn't been cleaned round after. The bedding was really synthetic and worn, the 4th bedroom was being decorated so was separated off using a clothes airer. There was a light fitting hanging down in the hallway and peeling and unfinished bits throughout. The only bathroom for the 4 guests was cramped, not super clean, and the water to the shower wasn't reliably hot. The outside area was much the same with collections of litter by the side of the property. Although ok for us the uneven flight of stone steps up to the property might be a problem for anyone with mobility issues or small children. Overall, we didn't feel particularly welcomed, the parking away from the accommodation was inconvenient, the whole stay felt like an overnight in a student halls of residence/budget airbnb (not a clean one) and a bit disappointing. I totally appreciate that renovations need to happen from time to time but if that is case then maybe don't accept bookings at the property whilst the renovations are needed/happening.

Friends reunion weekend
Great central location and very clean and comfortable .3 large bedrooms with comfy beds and a large living kitchen area.. Jon met us and showed us the building and access for parking down an alley which is fine if you take it slowly.Overall would recommend
Few missing kitchen utensils and the rear access would be difficult if mobility was restricted.Would benefit from an ensuite if it was possible

Interesting old property, great value for money
Great value for money, three large double bedrooms, living room and kitchen well equipped. Free parking outside via a narrow alleyway or cheap car parking nearby. Very interesting building. Owner came to meet us to direct us to the property and he was very friendly and helpful.
Nothing really, especially at the price paid. If you have have a large car the parking would be hard to access, if you have mobility issues then steps might be an issue

Quirky Accommodation right in the heart of Buxton
The host welcomed us which was great and was happy to help with some local info - the location is really central yet quiet. As regards the apartment; it's quirky in terms of layout, the beds super comfy and shower really powerful.
The onsite parking is a challenge (pay parking was available) - you have to drive down a really really narrow alley which is a team effort. Some aspects of the flat felt great whilst others felt a little tired or worn out, the wifi worked well in the bedrooms but was scratchy in the lounge.
