    A unique stay in luxurious surroundings
    Barmeath Castle Guest House is unique and comfortable. The house is stunning and original, the facilities are great, the location is beautiful, and the hosts are friendly and very accommodating. My only regret is that I didn't make time for a longer tour of the castle, which was fascinating.

    Pleasant stay in spacious home with room for all the family to gather and enjoy the beautiful countryside.
    Very spacious grand old property. Beautifully restored and decorated. The guest wing accommodated our entire family with ease and our gracious host Rosemary was constantly popping in to ensure we had everything under control. The kitchen had everything you would need for a short or long stay, with basic supplies if needed and every kind of recycling bin available to ensure the property maintains its on-sight worm farm. The grand old castle is lovely to visit if you have the time to walk around. We enjoyed our stay overall.
    It took us a little while to work out that the weird noises at night was only the water tanks refilling, so not an issue really. Some of the mattresses are not as comfortable as we would expect. We did feel like we lacked privacy with the host constantly letting herself in the front door and calling for one of us. She did however kindly offer us apples from the garden which we graciously accepted. However, she insisted we keep the door unlocked at all times and she kept walking in whenever it pleased her even to bring in cleaners well before our check out time. It was quite awkward for us.
