Keys of Italy - Alfani 70 - family apartment nearby the Duomo

There were 7 of us staying for 4 nights and 5 days. It was in a perfect location and equipped with all kinds of cooking utensils. Before check-in, they kindly sent us all the manuals and instructions on how to use the facilities via message, which was very nice. It was clean, and above all, the location is amazing for the price.

I think I didn't properly understand the explanation, so I'm not sure exactly how to adjust the radiator. The room felt a bit chilly as a result. Since I come from a country that doesn't use radiators, I was hesitant to adjust it casually.

Die Kommunikation läuft über einen chat - wieso? Man kann gut über whattsapp kommunizieren. Es war kompliziert und resultierte in Umwegen. Die Klimaanlage stellt abends ab - das ist unglücklich.

Location was great and central - maybe a 7min walk to the Duomo with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Communication was good prior to checking in and we were able to access the property early which was great. Lovely new kitchen and bathrooms looked newly renovated (although one shower is on the smaller side).

We had an issue with the air conditioner turning off at night. When I enquired about it, they let us know that the owners purposely turn it off at night from 11pm to 6am. The weather was really hot when we were in Florence and it was uncomfortable sleeping - all the adults complained about being hot in the night at it was only the beginning of June. Please note this if you want to stay here in summer - we were not aware of this on booking. The floors were quite dirty. Without shoes everyone’s feet were black (and babies knees were black also). Perhaps no one had use the property before us and it had been locked up for a while? It’s about a 15min walk to the train station. It seems close, but not if you are are carrying or wheeling lots of luggage - get a taxi if you are as there is construction on the streets and a lot of people walking which makes it hard to get there fast (I think it took us 25 minutes).

Lástima que los anfitriones no quieran invertir nada más además del espacio, visitamos Florencia en diciembre por lo que hace mucho frío, ilógicamente tienen la calefacción programada para el día (cuando nadie está y no hace tanto frío) TODA la tarde y noche la calefacción está apagada y es un refrigerador, aparte de noche tener un departamento templado ni siquiera hay alguna buena cobija o cobijas extras para poder taparse, únicamente una sábana y cobertor delgado como si estuvieran en la playa, además de que las bases de la cama son como de hospital de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, todo de tubo y con un rechinadero que hacen con cualquier movimiento y ya ni hablar de los colchones que no son confortables. Es evidente que hacen la menor inversión posible en cuestión de mobiliario y amenidades
