The Reflectory at Ryedale House

Beautiful apartment, with a fab view of the river Foss and Cliffords tower. Perfectly located for the gorgeous sights and shops in York, being only a 5 min walk away. Apartment clean and Comfortable with good security. Great contact from Rob and Erin to ensure that everything was satisfactory, which it certainly was. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Nothing not to like

It was very beautiful, with a great view and an excellent location. The bed was comfortable

It was very ‘techie’. Working the hob and the dishwasher was difficult. The lights in the living area were very dim, no matter how often you flicked the switch (I think there were 3 levels of dimness). There was no plug socket near a mirror, so to dry hair we cleared the mirrored display shelf and used that when styling wet hair. There was nowhere in either shower room to stand our spongebags. The living area seating did not enable 4 adults to see the television (there was a structural pillar in the way). The apartment was beautiful and stylish, but often impractical.

Great location, a minute away from the town centre and a lovely clean building. lots of shops, restuarants and bars very close by.

No one on reception on arrival - having had assurance (twice) that we could easily leave our two small cases, it proved difficult and took time.
