River & Castle at Ryedale House

Location was perfect. Nice modern apartment. Secure parking was great All you need for your perfect stay in York.

Only one down side, was the heat, apartment was extremely hot, due to there being no air conditioning. Although they’re some fans to use, but not great. But in saying that it was a heat wave at the time

The view was amazing!!! Location was great. Private parking was perfect. Plenty of space and quiet. You can easily walk to the shops and attractions.

Kitchen equipment was poor, mixed sets of cutlery and plates. One cup was chipped, another had a broken handle, wine glass was cracked and another glass had a potential nasty chip. Quality of kitchen accessories was poor - would have expected better for the money. Missed some of the touches that you would expect from a property of this price - fresh milk would have been nice and a better welcome pack. A local shampoo/conditioner and soap would have been have been good. These are all things that budget hotels provide so should be expected in a property of this value. A simple coffee machine would have been a good touch.

Hearing broke Agent came to look and delivered a heater, but no attempt to fix Whilst a very trendy finish, we found it a bit too minimal especially in the bathrooms Cleaned well, but the smell of bleach so strong when we arrived, we had to buy candles
