Welcome to River & Castle @ Ryedale House - A superb 2 bedroom property that offers truly spectacular views over Clifford's Tower and the River Foss.
Ryedale House is an exclusive, private development in the heart of York's historic core beside the River Foss. The building benefits from secure allocated parking. River & Castle sits on the 5th floor and has been finished to a very high standard internally.
Upon entering the open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area for the first time you will be immediately struck by the amazing amount of natural light coming into the apartment from the floor to ceiling windows. The views over the various city landmarks are simply stunning. There is a seating area complete with LCD TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime included, occasional chairs and beanbags plus a comfortable 3 seater sofa that has the added benefit of being able to convert to a sofa bed to accommodate an additional 2 guests.
The kitchen area has been designed to the highest standards and features premium Neff appliances throughout. The dining area can seat 6 for dinner.
The high quality wooden floors throughout the apartment also have the added benefit of underfloor heating.
The master bedroom features a king size bed, wall mounted TV and home office space, perfect for working from home. The bedroom also has an ensuite complete with underfloor heating and bath with over head shower. The second bedroom of the apartment features twin beds. Both the bedrooms benefit from having USB sockets near the beds and high quality carpets throughout.
There's also a separate shower and toilet just off the hallway.
The apartment also has the added benefit of an allocated, secure car park space onsite.

A super apartment, beautifully clean and well appointed. A small welcome pack. It would benefit from the large desk and chair being removed from the main bedroom as it is quite congested. Just a heads up - you need to remember to take shampoo and shower gel as this isn’t provided. Looking forward to staying again.

Our 2nd stay at Ryedale House, we loved the views and spectacular sunsets from River and Castle, the location is ideal a short walk to the attractions, the gated parking is a bonus, will definitely be back.

As a family of four - 2 adults with grown up children this apartment was ideal. The beds were super comfy and the apartment was well maintained and very quiet. Location is ideal and we were able to explore York entirely on foot. Having a parking space included was a great bonus.

We had a lovely stay, location excellent and views fabulous. Nicely furnished and on site parking a bit bonus.
The major downside was the faulty sliding window to the lounge. There was a note to state if was faulty and not to open it. However in its closed state the cold wind came in on both the side and top of the frame. We tried placing cushions and blankets but it was uncomfortably cold in the lounge all weekend whereby we had to sit wrapped in blankets. I would stay again but only once the window is fixed or in the summer months.
