I was very impressed with the communication from Stays York. Very informative and well informed. I even received a phone call from on the morning when I was due to check in that afternoon. Requested an early check in, and received a text to say the apartment was ready. A beautiful apartment, well located, spotlessly clean. High end beds, bedding, towels and the toiletries were to die for, so much so I’ve ordered some. Well equipped kitchen. Would have liked some oven gloves as the tea towel wasn’t thick enough to lift heavy pans out of the oven, just from a safety point of view
Couldn’t see out the bedroom window that opened, very dirty. didn’t realise so much building work was going on. And the view from the living room was quite poor, dirty rubbish in the river and an abandoned building site. This has no reflection on the apartment

The apartment felt like a home away from home
We stayed for 8 nights and I would have liked a mid stay clean or tidy. Mainly to refresh towels and top up toilet paper etc.

Well appointed apartment, spacious and comfortable, a few minutes walk from all York has to offer, plenty of information if this was your first time in York. Kitchen more than adequate, had everything you needed.
I did ask if the property was disabled friendly and was assured it was.
Our first obstacle was a step to the front door and no ramp. Getting my husband to stand then get his mobility scooter in, is very difficult and of course we had to go through this every time we came in and out. A folding ramp is such an easy solution. This is the first place we have stayed that didn’t have one. The television in the sitting room would not respond to the remote, when we opened the window in living room and a bedroom, the curtain came off the track. The shower in main bedroom could not be regulated and the water was scalding. We did call stayyork and a lovely lady came and had a look, she agreed the remote control did not work properly but if you pointed it at the pot plant it would turn the TV on, she said that she adjusted the shower and it should be ok. I am sorry to report that for our entire stay the TV and the shower never worked and all three of us had to use the one working shower in our friends bathroom, definitely not what we wanted, it did somewhat spoil what would otherwise been a perfect stay😢
