Blossom Guest House

I stayed in a single ensuite room with a garden view. It was very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The only little thing about the ensuite was the sink was tiny, so whenever I used it the water spilled all over the floor! Also when I pulled the blind down, it was a bit stained. But overall a very comfortable room for one person. The guest house is also in a great location for access to town or Marchmont/Morningside in the other direction. Bus stops are only 5 minutes from the guest house. I only saw the owner on arrival, who showed me to the room, but she seemed very friendly. The tea and coffee tray was very welcome as there's no breakfast provided. A mini fridge would be a nice addition to keep drinks cold. I would recommend to buy bottled water as you can't fit the kettle under the tap. There is a cafe round the corner though and several in Marchmont Road, a short bus ride away (number 5 bus). Please be aware if you have mobility issues, there's no lift and this room was two flights of stairs up. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice owners! It’s a bit out of the way but bus stops are very close. Mattress very firm. Small shower. Dated room. Overall we really enjoyed our stay because we were only needing a place to sleep and shower. I definitely would stay again. It feels very safe here. Restaurants are down the road about 5-10 minute walk. 30 minute walk to Royal mile/Princess. Bus is like 5 minutes from the main areas.

Nice comfortable room, everything worked. Well located for busses and for waking into central Edinburgh. No breakfast here, but there is a good breakfast café just 2 minutes walk away.
