Strathallan Guest House

The hotel is lovely. Great location for getting into the town centre as its right on a bus route with very regular buses. Contact from host before hand and key waiting in the hall when we arrived so we were able to self check in as soon as we got there. Room was nice and comfortable, good size, comfy beds and a small en-suite shower room. Tea and coffee facilities were provided with complimentary biscuits and bottles of water. Extra tea, coffee, biscuits, water, tea cups and towels were provided on a unit outside of bedroom so you can help yourself to extras which we really appreciated as usually places never provide enough. The shower was great, plenty of toilet roll and there was hand soap and shower gel in there too. The curtains were really thick and heavy and provided a dark, cosy room to sleep in-we all slept brilliantly! Net curtains for privacy during the day and a great view of the distant hills. All in all, we had a great stay and would definitely book this hotel again.

Personal preference but we like a cooked breakfast when staying in hotels. Not a problem as we were aware that they don't do breakfast before we booked and we found a menu in the hall for a lovely cafe a minute or two walk away "Minto Cafe" which we went to for breakfast. Nice little place with lovely staff, we enjoyed our breakfast and got a delicious cake to take away.

Zeer goede ontvangst. Mooie kamers. Goede locatie (centrum op loopafstand).

The location is excellent: the Royal Mile and other attractions are within walking distance. The room is clean and tidy.

Très bon emplacement ! On fait tout à pieds pour les visites dans Edimbourg. La voiture a son emplacement et n’a pas bougé de notre séjour. Une bouilloire est dans la chambre pour se faire un thé. Chambre très calme.
