Natural beauty all around you! Would stay again and again

If you're looking for a Farmstay/agriturismo this is definitely a top contender! It is so peaceful, full of beautiful plants and flowers, you're surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, and quaint rustic homes. The grounds are full of natural beauty! The farm animals, goats, pigs, peacocks, and Estella the donkey made the experience all the better (but don't worry, the animals have their own space away from the house so they won't bother you or kids if you aren't interested in seeing them). The natural pool next to the pond was beautiful and a great touch! We enjoyed it every day we were there. The staff were friendly and helpful and showed us their wine and olive oil store and gave us gifts when we arrived. They offered a wine tasting and vineyard tour. The staff also lent us an iron and were willing to help with any requests. The grounds have a gated entrance, so it felt pretty safe. We cooked in the rustic, charming kitchen a few times, it was well equipped with what we needed. There is a grocery store just down the road.

It was very clean except for the couch in the living room. I think there may have been a dog in the house before because there was dog or cat hair all over the couch. We were not sure how to use the washing machine. It seemed like an old machine. It would be helpful to have some directions on how to use it.

It was an unforgettable stay, and we highly recommend the farm and the area.

We had a wonderful week at the farm. Marika was available for any questions even before our arrival and made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. our house was spacious and met all our expectations, with a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, and a relaxing garden. We also enjoyed strolling around the farm and taking in the breathtaking views. During the week, we traveled around Tuscany, Umbria, and even Florence. The farm is conveniently located near a toll road, and there is a large supermarket just a 2-minute drive away. It was a quiet and peaceful place, yet at the same time it was easy to get everything we needed. We were lucky to arrive just as the harvest began, which was exciting and joyful—it was amazing to be part of the team’s enthusiasm and to witness the fascinating winemaking process. Marika also gave us a captivating tour of the place and answered all our questions with kindness and warmth. Thank you!!

The beds were a little too soft for us, but this did not take away from the wonderful experience.

Nature is all around you!

You definitely need a car to get here as the farm is located 2 hrs from the Rome airport (FCO), 1 hr from Florence and Siena, 1hr 40 min from San Gimignano, 20 min from Montepulciano. We stayed in a villa (2 bedroom, 1.5 baths and kitchen) for 8 nights at the beginning of September. We had a nice patio with a table, chairs and an umbrella where we had our breakfast every morning. Beds were hard (we liked that). Pools and a lake are located away from the house with apartments and the villa (need to walk ~7-10 min by the area where animals, such as pigs, sheep, and chickens, live). Only hand soap is provided, so on the way from the airport we got paper towels, shampoo and body wash as well as some food. The supermarket is only 10 min drive from the farm. If you need an iron, request it in advance. The farm has a lot of fruit trees (cherry plum, figs, pomegranate) that we picked from. We did a private wine and cured meat tasting and it was amazing thanks to Simi who was taking care of us during our stay. If you are not afraid of insects (there are a lot of them as well as scorpios) and the farm life (think of animal noises when you wake up), want to be closer to the nature and experience the freshest air and beautiful views, I highly recommend you stay here.

Towels for the pool are not provided. This is why we never went for a swim. Bikes are provided upon the request but unfortunately one of them was very uncomfortable at all, so we didn't take them for a ride. No mosquito nets, so you can't open windows in the evening or at night (but there are airconditioners in the rooms).

Perfect Tuscan experience

It was just the perfect Tuscan experience. The natural pool next to the lake was very beautiful and peaceful. In general, the whole stay was very relaxing. However, the best part was the super friendly staff, especially Francesco. He took the time to make us feel welcome and helped with recommendations and reservations.

Absolutely amazing, 10/10.

San Gregorio is a paradise on Earth! We stayed for 9 days with a family of 4 in the Lola apartment. Everything was perfectly clean and the apartment itself had everything we needed in order to have a comfortable stay. Francesco is a lovely host who made us feel welcome from the very first minute. The place has a great atmosphere of privacy despite having a couple of available apartments. We had a lovely view from a private terrace where we could eat at the table provided by the owners. We've also used the amazing eco pool - we were a little bit afraid that there would be too many people but it turned out that it also allows you to enjoy the calm atmosphere with private spots for sunbathing. Next to the pool, there's a big natural lake, particularly enjoyed by our dog :) You can also take wonderful walks near the wineyards. This agriturismo has a very respectful attitude towards not only guests but also the animals present on site. You can interact with pigs, goats, donkey, sheep, cat, ducks... There's a peacock too! Everything with animal's rights and their freedom in mind. The place is super close to the highway, you can visit Florence, Rome, Tuscan and Umbrian villages, Elba or the East coast in a matter of max. 2-3 hours drive. It's a great choice for people who want to travel from their place of stay. There's a grocery shop (Pam) in the shopping centre nearby too - 5 mins by car, 15 mins walk. We will definitely be back. We've been to Italy multiple times but it's our number 1 spot. Absolutely perfect choice, would recommend to everyone - families with children, seniors, young people looking to have some fun in Tuscany... Love it!!!

Exceptional

This Agriturismo is way beyond the pitures you can see. Thw swimming pool, the goats and sheeps, pigs, the terrain, the wineyard... it's a BIG wow. Superb to visit the Montepulciano and Pienza etc... I should rate it as 0, so it stays at it is.... :) Thank you Franceso for everything and BRAVO San Gregorio. See you next year

Exceptional

Great swimming pool. The kids loved the animals on the farm, especially pina and Stella. Everything was very clean, the whole property impeccable! Very friendly and helpful hosts!

Great location and gorgeous pool- but not what we expected

The owner Roberto was very friendly and helpful. The welcome pack was lovely - especially the delicious red wine! The pool was beautiful and I have to say it was the nicest water I have been in. I appreciated the pool house/outside kitchen beside the pool area. The location is ideal for sightseeing. We had a great day at lago trasimeno and there are lots of gorgeous Umbrian/Tuscan towns to visit. We enjoyed having the ability to BBQ at the property (Cascina) the other apartments didn't have BBQ facilities apart from at the pool area. The peace and quiet - yet being so close to good restaurants/supermarket and motorway etc. The other apartments Stina/Pina were lovely and modern. Pina was the best of the two.

I didn't like the fact that the pool was a drive away from the property - this wasn't clear on the property details. Although I loved the pool we wouldn't have booked if we had known this. We stayed in Cascina - we paid considerably more for this apartment but had sub standard linen and towels compared to the other apartments. The double bed had two single mattresses and was really uncomfortable The bathroom in Cascina needs updated. We ended up using the shower facilities at one of the other apartments (rented by friends) The garden area wasn't well maintained and the garden furniture was dirty. We had a few run ins with scorpions inside and outside of the property . There was no kettle and no oven gloves - I could live without the kettle but no oven gloves made using the oven or BBQ a bit of a challenge.

Pleasant stay on a gorgeous quiet property, surrounded by nature.

It's an idilic place. beautiful and large property. Typical Tuscany outlook with hills vineyards and everything. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Clean comfortable facilities, spacious apartments. Quiet and peaceful environment. They have lots of domestic on the properties. We traveled with children and they liked it a lot. A short walk through the property you come to gorgeus pools besides the lake. If we wile come to that part of Tuscany again, we will for sure book apartment here.

Dzięki cudownej pani Marice mogliśmy wziąć udział w degustacji lokalnych win, która okazała się prawdziwą podróżą przez smaki i aromaty Toskanii. A na pożegnanie dostaliśmy butelkę wina w prezencie-piękny gest, który na zawsze zostanie w naszej pamięci. Poranki w San Gregorio pachną świeżym powietrzem, winogronami i oliwkami. Z okna widać złote wzgórza, a zachody słońca wyglądają jak namalowane. Pokój był czysty, przytulny i pełen drobnych detali, które sprawiają, że czujesz się wyjątkowo-wszystko tu ma swoją duszę. To miejsce jest prawdziwe. Bez pośpiechu, bez udawania. Jeśli szukacie kawałka Toskanii, w którym można naprawdę odpocząć-Agriturismo San Gregorio to idealny wybór. 🍷

Agriturismo San Gregorio, un angolo di paradiso!!!

Un vero agriturismo, in una grande tenuta immersa nel verde e nella pace, con tanti animali, producono vino, olio e salumi di cinta senese, che allevano. Il nostro appartamento (Poldo) era nel corpo principale della struttura, molto confortevole, pulito e ben dotato, con bagno in camera in ognuna delle due stanze da letto (con letti e cuscini comodi); ci sono poi altri appartamenti che hanno anche un piccolo giardino privato, con vista su vigneti e oliveti. Comunque gli spazi esterni comuni sono curati e puliti, con tavolini e sedie, anche barbecue, e c'è un bella piscina fito-depurata, immersa nel verde, si raggiunge con una breve passeggiata a piedi, salutando pecorelle e caprette o volendo con pochi minuti di macchina, fornita di lettini, sdraio e ombrelloni. Vicino alla piscina c'è anche un laghetto, con una piccola barchetta! La posizione dell'agriturismo è ottima per visitare gli splendidi borghi toscani, umbri e laziali limitrofi, ma anche la distanza dalle città più grandi è accettabile. Infine il personale è squisito, presente in struttura, molto disponibile e accogliente, grazie di tutto cuore, abbiamo passato due splendide settimane. Torneremo a trovarvi!!!

Forse l' unico piccolissimo neo del nostro appartamento è non avere un angolo lavanderia personale, questo vale soprattutto per i lunghi soggiorni. C'è comunque una lavanderia "comune", usata anche dalla struttura, pulita, con primo lavaggio gratis e gli altri a pagamento.

Fantastico

Miljön, lugnet och läget är fantastiskt. Så välkomnande personal och ägarinna. När personal fick höra att vår bilruta blivit krossad i Rom hjälpte de oss på ett sätt jag aldrig varit med om tidigare. De ringde alla sina kontakter, körde med oss till två bil verkstäder som fixade fram och bytte ut en ny bilruta på EN dag. Dessutom förhandlade dom fram ett väldigt bra pris på kostnaden på reparationen då de inte ville vi skulle bli lurade turister. Naturpoolen, wow! Visst ligger en liten bit bort från boendet, 1min med bil. Men så vacker. Skönt att slippa klor vatten. Positivt med att där även fans faciliteter nere vid poolen med kök/kyl/toalett och grillar. Rekommenderas!

Erholsam und der Poolist ein Hit

Rustikale Unterkunft mit ganz viel Ruhe und einem sagenhaften Naturpool (wenngleich etwas vom Haus entfernt). Marika hat sich großartig gekümmert und wir sollten (und haben) uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Ein Supermarkt ist in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen.
