Perfect and clean

Once inside the unit it was very nice and everything I needed was available.

The unit itself was clean and very pleasant. I was comfortable and had all that I needed.

I realize that the municipality workers are on strike, but the rubble on the sidewalks gave me a very bad impression when I approached the front door. So, I was a little concerned about what I would find inside. The local community/ building owners, should be arranging for private garbage collection.

Not a pleasurable stay at all

The first night all I could hear was rain drumming down the the what appeared to be or at least sound like a tin roof the second night the studio above me had a party until around 2am there were young people shouting screaming and playing music. I felt unsafe and vulnerable as a single female. I have had no sleep and complained to the host I am wishing to have a refund for last nights stay as it was awful

Disappointing

Convenient for the Uni.

Room not as pictured on Booking. It’s a standard students room, within a student house sold as a hotel apartment. No sofa or coffee machine, (received a refund due to the lack of coffee machine) blinds instead of curtains so a lot more light gets through. Shower constantly dripping, they didn’t even install the toilet seat straight!

It suited my purpose and you get what you pay for.

Toiletries and slippers were provided. The shower worked. The bed was reasonably comfortable.

Would have loved a cup of tea - kettle and teabags provided but NO MILK. Noisy - even at 5am. Ceiling not insulated so people in room above sounded like elephants. No hot water to handbasin at 7am.

Amazing customer support.

The staff exhibited exceptional care and maintained consistent communication regarding our comfort and stay. This level of service is truly commendable.

The room had an issue due to the upstairs flat. Constant footsteps and cracking noises were annoying throughout our stay. More of a property issue and the attitude of the upstairs guests. But the staff were amazing, they visited our room to understand the problem. Thanks for your kindness and support.

A lovely place to stay and helpful staff

Staff very helpful. Thanks to Teodora via mobile. Room lovely and clean and had everything you needed for short stay Located in lovely Selly Oak. Nice atmosphere lots of eateries. Rooms in a street with lovely old terraced houses. (All seem to be HMO's mainly for students). Handy for the train.

Insulation not great. Might be better with carpets to muffle noise in top flat. First room too small, shower cubicle too tight for access. Bed spars need attention but bed comfortable. Instead of black bags in the street better with recycling bins. Booking.com. should have noted in the first room, their was a skylight, limited space in room,minimum space to get into shower. First time ever, husband couldn't fit into a shower. Obviously meant for skinny students.

Left the studio within five minutes of arrival, felt unsafe and was a really frustrating experience

Let's start with the location. I was shocked to see all the garbage scattered all over the road as well as on the footpath that led to the house. The street outside literally smelled of weed and rotting waste. Brought up questions of safety and hygiene. The studio is part of a house located on this street. The key was left outside, and I just had to walk into the room, which was on the first floor. The fact that I never saw my host upon arrival and that other people were living in the house, of which I knew nothing about was quite concerning, adding to the fact that the house itself was located in a very shady street. If the residents of the house were the hosts themselves, I wonder why they did not greet us at the door. I should say that the studio itself was clean, but the bedsheets and towels provided looked worn out. I left the studio just 5 minutes after arriving for the reasons mentioned above. Unfortunate that they have a no refund policy.
