Todo! Excelente experiencia. Por sobretodo la dedicación de quien nos recibio y puso toda su energía para que estuviéramos bien. Incluso me olvidé de avisar que mis hijos no comen pescado y resolvió de manera impecable esta situación. Todo extraordinariamente limpio y tranquilo. La mejor experiencia en años.

The location of the hotel is quite good, it can be reached by direct bus (not included in the Hakone Free Pass) from Odawara, which saves you the trouble of changing trains in crowded Hakone. From the bus stop, the road goes down to this place so you can even walk it with wheeled luggage. The place can also be reached by taking the mountain cable car up, when you get out at Kami-Gora (make sure you get out at the left side, you can't cross the tracks later). The room is spacious and has a good view. I was alone in the room so I used all four tatami mats and slept really well. The private onsen is nice.

Reception was unfriendly. Not entirely, he also lent me a phone charger. But overall, I didn't get the feeling that I was welcome, more like I was barely being tolerated. I arrived earlier than expected and mistakenly put on the owner's house shoes (I thought they were for guests) before I walked to reception, which made reception very angry. I was completely overthrown by his irritation. I wanted to leave my luggage there until check-in, and it seemed like it was all too much to ask and it had to be done hurriedly. As a result, I walked around with my heavy laptop for the rest of the day. I later asked reception to call my previous hotel because I had left my charger in the hotel lobby and somehow when he hung up, he told me that they didn't have my charger. Which wasn't true, I let a Japanese friend make the same call and the previous hotel did have my charger. On the day that I left, I asked if I could get a transfer to the station but it turned out that is not included in the price, you have to pay for a cab or just walk there. The private onsen (there are two) can only be booked after check-in, and dinner is at 18.00 so there aren't many slots. In my case, when only two other rooms were taken, there was only one slot left from 17.00-18.00. Dinner was good, but nothing I will remember. Breakfast was too heavy and not to my taste (mackerel). I was just so fed up with this place that I didn't even care anymore that I had taken all the four tatami mats out. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone travelling alone.
