Really nice place, room had a nice chill area included and there’s another shared area outside. Filtered water is a great inclusion and our host couldn’t do enough for us. Really friendly guy, extremely helpful

It is very well located! Just a short walk from the main strip of Arugam Bay so it’s nice and quiet but not far from the main area. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. The host is also so lovely and so friendly! Made us coffees when we were sitting outside and was always helpful in providing us with recommendations for beaches and food spots and for checking with drivers and laundry that is was legit. Highly recommend this location! Will definitely book again when visiting next!

The walls are slightly thin so we could hear the other guests moving about outside and in their rooms.

Gypcey home is a cute little place. It has a few rooms that surround a nice courtyard and communal area which has a pleasant vibe. A quick walk from main street but also quietly tucked away enough to be quiet.

The pictures of the rooms themselves might make them look slightly bigger than they are. Would recommend this place as being more suited for a budget conscious couple or family looking for a an affordable option rather than a group traveling together (unless your preference is for a good price and don’t mind a more compact room). It would have been nice to have a few more towels and linen as there were no hand towels, bath mats or beach towels. The aircon we had was very effective at cooling the place which is really important in A Bay which can be extremely hot, but we could not adjust the temperature and it was stuck on 16 degrees the whole time (which was way better than having no aircon but also got a bit chilly at times and we didn’t have much in the way of blankets for sleeping).
