Perfect location, good communication, good value for money
The behavior of the cleaning lady was simply disgusting. She entered the room with her husband and their one-year-old child, without even saying hello. The poor guy was busy cleaning and taking care of the baby at the same time. She, on the other hand, spent the first five minutes on her phone, then turned on the TV, swept the floor with an offended expression, and left without a word.

I was able to meet at the apartment on time and the host was there waiting for me. This place is managed by a third party who deal with any conversations on the website, the 'owner' is who met me. The owner speaks little English and we had to speak through translation site on web for some of it. The bed downstairs I found ok but too hard for some I would imagine. The upstairs is too hot and the aircon does not reach up there. He did message me on day 2 or 3 to ask if I wanted cleaning and I said no. The area wasn't too noisy except the Sunday night where there was quite loud music, this didn't overly bother me but some it might. This place is ok for no frills, somewhere to sleep with a small balcony - not for anyone who is precious about anything. There was some shower gel and two travel size shampoos, I strongly suggest these were left by a previous guest, well at least the shampoo was. I don't think the brief states there are toiletries, so a bonus. The water situation - there is a large black water 'container' on the balcony for use when the mains water is not in supply. It was very difficult to understand him explaining how this worked, there was a lever for on and off and a yellow machine type thing which he turned on as an afterthought, I don't really understand what this was. In any case, however he set it up, I had water at all times, if this was due to how he set it up or if the mains never went off during my stay I don't know. Make sure you know how this works else be out of water potentially. I kept the balcony doors closed' I did not experience any flies ot mosquitos in the apartment and did not use any 'devices' to keep them away. From the picture it looks like there is restaurant below, there isn't, and the bar opposite, TamTam has closed down. Close walk to beach and the main street is the next road over, shops, restaurants and bars all close by.
I was first told by the third party that I could pay by card, then I was told I couldn't. I asked if I could pay in Euros which I was told yes, so this is what I took. The owner at first was saying no as he had to then pay conversion fees at his bank, this wasn't my issue and I shouldn't have been told yes. He called the third party and whatever was said led to the Euros being accepted. Caution, had I not got Euros with me, the ATM did not work for me at first and so I would be unable to pay him. I think the ATM may have been out of cash as another I tried later that night did work for me. It said 'there are no services for you' rather than 'out of cash'. He took about 4 phone calls at the same time as explaining to me how things worked, unprofessional i thought. All of the kitchen items need a good clean. The sink overflow does not go down the drain it empties in the cupboard below the sink!!! Just don't fill up the sink to the overflow level. Sponges and tea towel dirty. Stairs are quite steep if you have mobility issues, the beams are low upstairs. I got electrocuted as a open live wire is hanging out of the wall near the floor, by the upstairs bed. There is a very large cot in the room which I moved to a corner out of the way. One of the power points on the kitchen wall is hanging loose. The worse part by far, in location terms, is the annoying men who try to talk to tourists, to get you to look at their shop and asking to buy drugs. There are intimidating and a menace. They will ask what you're looking for and even oblige to show you if you tell them. where you are from, where you are staying and for how long. My advice, don't tell them and keep moving, I think they are trying to judge how much money you have by asking where you are staying. In my opinion, don't say you are English (if you are) hedge bets and pretend to be French, they are unlikely to know the language.
