Great location

Great location, comfy bed, nice and warm accommodation, well equipped and attractive, parking was very convenient.

We prefer to cook but the kitchen didn't have much prep space and we hadn't realized there wasn't an oven, that's our fault for not checking though.

The toilet was very loud when you flushed it and took a few minutes to stop being loud and the water pressure wasn't very powerful

Fantastic Lake District base

Location is superb — easy walking distance for everything in Ambleside (including the top of Windermere for swimming) but very quiet. Excellent night’s sleep further aided by the extremely comfy bed. Loved the large sofa in living area; bright; cute. Alocely place to hang out if having a slow start or lazy evening. Excellent responsive host: flat hadn’t yet been turned over when we arrived (oversight in the cleaner’s schedule) but it was sorted within the hour. Would definitely stay again.

It was fine for us but is small enough that we’d have struggled to find room to dry a lot of wet walking gear. The parking arrangements in the courtyard are a bit of a confusing free-for-all although everyone got parked in the end.

Fantastic - will definitely be back!

The location of this property was 10/10. 15 minute walk to the town centre and 15 minute walk to ambleside pier and waterfront. The decor in this property was gorgeous and the place was absolutely spotless. Emma (the host) was fantastic at keeping contact if there was anything we needed, she even managed to let us check in early even after a quick turn around from the previous guests. She provided all the essentials - tea, coffee, sugar, ice, extra throws/blankets, cleaning essentials and every kitchen utensil you could possibly need - all matching the aesthetics of the house may I add. An absolute gold dust find for the town of Ambleside. An extra bonus is having access to the private garden down by the river - a great touch to the cottage and a beautiful way to end the day with my partner, dog and a glass of wine.
