Central location. 5 minutes to the Uffizi galerie walking. Another 5 from there to the Ponte Vecchio. Within a 15 minute walk of basically every major site in historic Florence. Tons of restaurants and merchants nearby.
Large room, clean and recently renovated. This is a 3rd floor walkup (4th if your American). If you have lots of luggage it will be difficult. Run like an Air B&B we saw the staff only on check in-out. There were no hangars in our closet. We stayed here in late Nov and the central heating was robust enough that we had to open a window to cool it down. There was no thermostat in the room. Safe, affordable and centrally located, this is a great pick if you are travelling lightly and want to stay in the middle of the city

This hotel is on the 3rd floor of a historic building. There are no elevators (which I knew beforehand). The stairs are not for the faint of heart. We got one key card for our room, so we had to co-ordinate. Also, when we arrived, we had to check in using the codes although we arrived before 4 PM. This was not a big deal but I wanted to mention. The location is awesome. The rooms were spacious and clean. The communication was good.
