Albergo Ristorante San Carlo

There are a few negative points and one good point. 1. The hotel is called a hotel with a restaurant, but the restaurant was not open. I made a reservation for a restaurant by text message (hotels.com) when I made the reservation the hotel, but there was no reply. Of course, there was no information that it was not open. I was told to go to the pizzeria that was a minute's walk away. 2. I had to press and hold the button to call the elevator. I waited for several minutes, but the elevator did not come, so I got on with other guests from another floor. Of course, they did not tell me that information. 3. There was no exit even when I went down the stairs to the lower floors. I could not get out unless I took the elevator to a floor with an exit on the ground floor. In the event of a fire, the structure is dangerous. Of course, they did not tell me that information. 4. The reception is closed from 18:00. I cannot ask for anything at night. I would accept the information if they told me in advance, but they did not tell me at the time of reservation or check-in. Suggestion: It would be good to post a night contact number at the reception and entrance. 5. I don't think it was intentional, but he charged me for the room even though I had already paid through Hotels.com. I told them I was sure I had paid, and then he checked. *I think they are not good at sharing information overall. *The view from the window is absolutely beautiful!!!

Great location, relatively close to Arona and Meina. Our room was not facing teh lake and was an average room, however clean and comfortable. Breakfast good, but nothing special. Maybe the owner could be a bit more warm and caring about guests. A smile never hurts.

Great location, beautiful views, very kind staff, super-comfortable bed, all necessary amenities, world-class restaurant, free-parking at hotel.. All in all - a winner.
