We stayed here about 8 years ago and always knew we wanted to cone back. The salt water pool is great, you feel so nice after you come out, but it does get busy as they have classes (aquagym/water aerobics) that I think a lot of local people go to who I assume are spa members, as it's not just a hotel. Most of the people who stay there are French (at least when I have been there) so it's not overrun by Brits and you feel you are actually away from home. I need to learn some French for my next stay! The location is great as there is the veach, of course which is lovely and best on sunny days. It also has tge historic d-day connection and driving distance to the main memorial and cemetery. There are some kids attractions (might be summer opening only) and a small park. Several restaurants and bars in walking distance.

Very comfortable bed. Good restaurant and pleasant staff. Excellent pools. Location is also very good and if you ask for sea views a very nice view from the hotel windows.

The hotel itself is amazing, very clean and the staff are perfect, and the swimming pool and spa were lovely. It's an easy walk into the main high street, right on the beach and we absolutely loved the hotel itself. If you are staying and want treatments I would suggest booking them before you get there because it gets pretty busy and it meant we were limited in what we could have in the week we stayed. Our only complaint was the paid 'add ons' which were terrible. We had a meal in the restaurant which very expensive and absolutely awful (dried meat on dried lentils and hardly any gravy!). In relation to the treatment options we had two massages which I can only describe as being 'stroked'. During the second one I was actually considering just leaving half way through but didn't want to be impolite! They offer things like hot stones and 'sand bags' but to be honest these seemed just a bit gimmicky and they didn't use them effectively. That said the body wraps and scrubs were amazing. In short, the hotel is awesome and I cannot recommend it enough. But if you are going to use the treatments in the spa it's defiantly not something I would recommend.

The bathroom door opens into the bathroom within two inches of the toilet and inches from the wall. The most comfortable way to open Room 6 bathroom door is to take it off the hinges. The problem is you would have to squeeze into the bathroom stepping over the toilet because the hinges are inside the bathroom. The services was great and the pool hours are short.

Hotel in large was clean and well kept. The rooms are extremely small and the showers do not a have a full seal all the way around it forcing you to shower up against the drain. When the leaking shower was brought to the staffs attention it was explained that “all showers were built this way and I was showering incorrectly.”

My daughter with a new born baby requested a late check out and was prepared to pay but was told ‘ no we don’t do that ‘ very bruskly ! Really ?! Most hotels do late check out options . Not good

Room - large twin single beds with the usual space to get past the end of the beds (also nice to have 2 armchairs); separate WC in a very tight space; large shower; TV unfortunately only in French; pleasant with A/C and window can be opened. Beds had 'firm' mattresses casuing me a back problem. Food and service was excellent both nights - an English translation of the restaurant menu would be helpful (bar menu is translated). Great breakfast with cooked option (sausage, scrambled egg, toast) available alongside usual croissant and pastries, cold meats, cheese, fruits, yogurts etc.
