When I booked a hotel in Aberdeen on the same day as my existing Sunderland reservation, I forgot to cancel the latter. Hotels should have a system to detect and notify guests about multiple bookings that overlap in time to prevent such conflicts.

A lovely clean hotel with just a couple of minus points. The breakfast was very mediocre, hard overcooked eggs, dry overcooked bacon and cheap sausages. No parking, but there is a multi story nearby that cost £18.80 for the night. That to me is expensive.

Once again this hotel has lived up to its friendly reputation and hospitality. Rooms are so comfortable you get a good nights sleep, breakfast was amazing, great selection and hot. Shops could not be any more conveniently located.

The Sunderland Holiday Inn staff were wonderful. I had a bad fall at the theatre and when I got back they couldn’t have been more kind and helpful, especially Kieran. He offered to take me to A&E but I did not want to go. He bathed my wound and found a plaster for it. I cannot remember the name of the other receptionist but she was equally as kind and helpful. If there one downside, it was that the bedroom was very cold and had limited refreshments. Apart from that the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable and I enjoyed my stay immensely.

The room was really hot, it was a sunny day but the windows didn't open and no fans, no way of cooling the room down. There was black scuff marks of considerable size on one wall, everything else was clean. Also the TV didn't work, buffering and turning off intermittently, I rang reception about this and was told to turn off , wait 10mins then turn on which didn't work. Also at breakfast there was no sausage, bacon or eggs , they were refilled later but

What an amazing hotel, very convenient. The room was super clean and comfortable, overlooking Keel sq. Breakfast was hearty, a great selection including freshly brewed coffee and juices. The staff on check-in and in restaurant were all very pleasant. I will definitely make this my go to hotel again when im back in the UK.
