1926 Le Soleil Hotel & SPA

Very well located in Sliema, with shops and restaurants all around, and a short walk to the stunning infinity pool that’s right on the sea. Hotel has a lovely spa with pool, steam room and dry sauna. I booked mini facials for myself and my daughters, and we all had an excellent experience. We had the buffet breakfast once, and one dinner at the hotel restaurant, Margaux, and honestly it was some of the best food we had during our whole trip. Beautiful cocktails and lovely, creative mocktails too! Every single staff member we dealt with was amazing. Very professional, friendly and helpful across the board. I would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend it to others.

The hotel is well located with beautiful rooftop & beachfront pools. We didn’t have time to visit the spa pool, but the treatment facilities were lovely. We had a Junior suite which was a good size, and the lounger in the corner was lovely as you could read on it or use it to pack/unpack. My frustration really came from housekeeping. Every day when they took our towels away, they forgot to replace them. Each time I complained, they were apologetic, but for a hotel of this caliber, after the first complaint they should have made sure it didn’t happen again. “Turn down” service was also at very inconvenient times - 5/6pm when people are getting ready to go out, meaning they just dropped the treats and asked if you needed anything rather than a true turndown.

I had a great experience at 1926 Le Soleil. It had a luxurious feel but was also relaxed. The hotel was absolutely spotless, rooms cleaned each day with a turn down service in the evening. The staff at reception, at breakfast, in the lobby bar, rooftop bar and beach club were so friendly and professional and willing to answer any questions and accommodate requests. Despite its position in Sliema, it was relatively quiet. I didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening as was out and about trying local restaurants. We had breakfast at the hotel a few times and it was good and plentiful. Majority of bookings could be managed through the app, I didn’t have any problems booking sunbeds. Favourite part of hotel stay was the rooftop bar and beach club. Hotel extremely handy location, mins away from ferry to Valetta. Would definitely stay again if in Malta. Only criticisms would be lack of storage in room and towels looked a little tired. Like others have said, it would be nice if water was replenished each day but there is a supermarket nearby.
