East Sliema Suites

Great location in Sliema, 5 min away from the main bus and ferry stations. Room looks just like in pictures, it is modern and clean. Staff was very polite and helpful.

Firstly the air in the room was stuffy, and it needed to be aired out properly. We kept a lot of time the window open because of that. Secondly a lot of standing water remained in the bathroom after showering, and it dried very slowly. It would have been great if there was a floor squeegee available to clean up the water. Overall it was great value for money, these are just suggestions on how it could have been even better.

The ac was noisy (even when turned off) and the bed was too.

Spacious, clean, good location, towels were changed every day and beds made.

Noisy from 8am due to building work in the surrounding area, no milk for tea and coffees and the balcony looked out onto a wall.

The apartment is in a great location, with supermarkets and plenty of restaurants nearby. The rooms were always clean and the staff was nice and kind.

The main issue was the constant construction noise. Every morning from around 7:30 AM, we were woken up by extremely loud drilling that sounded as if it was happening right next to the room. A holiday is meant to be a time to rest, but the noise made that nearly impossible. In fact, after returning home, I felt like I needed another vacation just to catch up on sleep and recover from this one. I understand that the apartment owners cannot control construction work in the surrounding area. However, I do believe that pricing should reflect these circumstances while the work is ongoing. Being transparent and fair about such conditions is important because it acknowledges the reality guests are experiencing and ensures that the price better matches the quality of the stay during this period. There were also a few minor inconveniences: the refrigerator was extremely small, there were no plates available, and basic items such as a toothbrush holder or soap holder were missing. The balcony also faces a plain wall, which is admittedly difficult to change, but the space could be made much more inviting with some simple touches such as comfortable outdoor furniture, plants, lanterns, or a small outdoor rug. These details would help soften the view and add some warmth and character to the space. At the moment, the terrace feels rather bare and unwelcoming. Another thing I found confusing was that the terrace light turned on automatically and stayed on the whole night. The purpose of this was unclear. This is also not shown in the Booking photos at all. At the moment, I would only recommend this property to guests who are not bothered by extreme noise. I would not recommend it for families with young children or for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation.
