    This is the worst place I've stayed in a long time. The place is so outdated that it even had velvet wallpaper in the walls and ceiling. The only new item was a leather recliner that faced a 13inc

    Stayed here for 5 nights during a very busy holiday weekend in February. Staff were responsive and helpful to the email questions I had prior to arrival. Upon arrival at entrance, there is no clear instruction about where the elevator is, so most people carried it up the stairs. I arrived at 1pm but no early check-in could be facilitated, so I waited in the lounge area. There is a very simple gift shop corner with some souvenirs and snacks. I stayed in a family room that had it's own sink and toilet. The room was very clean. The bed mattresses, tatami mattress and pillows were firm and comfortable. The room is extremely warm due to centralised heating so you need to open the windows. Thankful for the humidifier in the room. The onsen and shower area is old, fully indoor, small but functional. Shared washing machine and dryer are also available, which was great. The sukiyaki/shabushabu restaurant as well as the BBQ restaurant in the hotel are delicious and better than the other restaurants around Ichinose. Make a reservation ahead of time. The buffet breakfast is simple but filling. The staff are very helpful. No lockers for snowboards, only for skis, bring your own cable lock if needed. Need to leave all gear in the gear rooms on G/F.

    2 mins walk to the ski slope. Directly next to Ichinose bus stop so you can get shuttle around Shigakogen area. Very good for skiers/snowboarders. However, their parking lot is full quickly and staff will offer to drive you to and back from the big parking lot 2km away. Wi-fi signal in rooms is strong but can't load full movies quickly. Fine for watching youtube. Breakfast has eggs, sausages, rice and and soup as hot items, otherwise just 1-2 fruits, bread and salad - very basic.
