Fantastic location, right opposite on of the ski lifts - with beautiful views of the mountain from our room. The room was simple but all we needed with toilet/sink and kettle. The heater was efficient, keeping us warm. The Onsen and sauna were fantastic and clean - a welcome relief from the cold to relax our tired muscles. Breakfast was excellent with a variety of choice, and the tea and coffee station was a nice addition. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge area in the morning enjoying a cup. The storeroom was very convenient for drying out our boots and boards and it was great that the hire of boots was all under one roof in the chalet. Would definitely recommend this accommodation with friendly staff!

Amazing hotel for skiing in Shigakogen resort. Ski in and ski out. We were also very happy with the quality of rental skis.

As in previous visits to Chalet Shiga, the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was great and the location excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
