Nanjyoen

It was an amazing experience to stay here. Traditional ryokan in such a beautiful setting. The staff was super friendly and nice, too.

Staff are very polite, especially the staff at the restaurant, it was a great experience of the Kaiseki. Room is clean, and nice with the onsen. Staff are very helpful and cheerful.

Food was expensive but worth it. Bath is room was excellent. Shared bath was mostly empty (male) and serene. 음식은 비쌌지만 그만한 가치가 있었음. 객실 내 목욕 시설은 훌륭했고, 공용 목욕탕(남성)은 한산하고 고요한 분위기였음.

Lovely ryokan. We didn’t take the meals, and they were served in a dining area, not in the room. But the staff informed us of the early closing hours of locals restaurants and izakaya, and they booked tables for us at both, which was very helpful. They picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop on arrival/departure. The room was spacious, very clean, with a large window looking out over the forest. I really loved their onsen which is on a balcony, looking at forest and the night sky, it was a mild temperature, not as hot as many onsens, but very nice. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Onsen hopping in Kurokawa Onsen was one of the trips highlights.
