It was very hard to find someone available at the front desk. By the time I was checking in, the person in charge was playing cards with friends while I spend more than five minutes waiting for someone to assist me. That person only moved after I called directly. Stairs might be a problem if carrying a lot of luggage. Wi-fi reception was extremely poor. Not close to the Old Town as other places. The housekeeping staff was lovely and attentive, even though they could not speak English. Room facilities are excellent.

My 4-year old son and I had a lovely stay at Villa Erna. Positives include - Nice and clean apartment and swimming pool (which my son loved!). 10 minutes to the supermarket. 10 minutes to the beach/ nice beach club. 5 minutes to scenic walks with great views. 10 minutes walk to bus stop with frequent buses in and out of town. Quiet location far from the madding Old Town crowds. Alen communicated really well before our stay and he and his team were extremely friendly and welcoming. Alen arranged transport from the airport which was really convenient and was there to greet us when we arrived. Was also very helpful with any requests we had during our stay. Only suggestion: The towels could do with replacing. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dubrovnik.

Disappointed that in the apartment we were in, #2, the Wifi would not work. At first we were told that the modem would have to be reset but then were told that there was nothing they could do. We were told the walls were too thick to get the signal and that we could use it out in the hall. Not ok. The hall and stairways leading from the parking garage were dark and crowded with old, broken furniture. The pool is in need of upgrading or at the very least, a good cleaning. We did not go in as it looked old and dirty.

The apartment we stayed in was very clean and comfortable.We had a balcony which gave us great views to sit and watch the cruise boats come and go. The location of the apartment was also in a good location for walking to the beaches and also near a bus stop which offered regular buses to the old town.

No one at reception when we arrived. There was a notice that gave a phone number to call. When owner arrived he didn't seem to be aware of who was booked in as he tried to put us in a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 girls that were also waiting to book in that we didn't even know. When we explained we weren't together and didn't know each other he laughed. He said our room wasn't ready but we could wait in their room with them and proceeded to carry our cases to their room! Very "Fawlty Towers". I had also arrange to have a welcome pack of food to be in the apartment on arrival which was offered as an optional extra, it wasn't there and never arrived, despite the fact that we reminded the owner we had ordered it. This was very inconvenient to say the least.

Nice apartment and staff. Pity the pool is really small and cold. Facilities were not 4 star as the boiler was leaking water and there was no dishwasher or washing machine in the flat. Baby cot bed was provided but no high chair. 10-12 min walk to pebble beach and 5 min from bus stop.
