There was a nice patio outside, and the place was very clean, and nice enough.
There was no air conditioning and it was VERY hot. We kept the windows open but got bitten all over by mosquitos. Our host was very stern and strict with us, always yelling at the guests for this and that. She was also very sweet at times and gave us coffee and cold water and homemade orange liquor. But overall it was not the most relaxing place to stay.

Ruza and her mother are both very friendly. Ruza likes to share her knowledge about the area. Her mother doesn’t speak English but is sweet.
We got access to a fridge, so we could keep some food and drinks cool.
It’s easy to take the bus line 4 to the old town for 12-15 kuna. The bus stop is down the road.
If you don’t mind giving up privacy and are on a very low budget then this is the choice for you.
Unfortunately we booked this accommodation too quickly and realised that it wasn’t under conditions we could cope with and chose to find something else after one night.
If you’re on a very low budget then it’s a good choice, especially if you want a true local experience. However, it is very hot to sleep in July without air conditioning and not fun with mosquitoes biting you. The whole family came by so it got rather lively in the night and the neighbour’s dog barks a lot.
Our room was right on the other side of the terrace so we could very easily hear people talk there. During the night, the host would keep putting stuff in the freezer and turn the lights on and off.
The parking is free, but it’s just on the road by the accommodation and vulnerable to the lint from the laundry place across from it.
The bathroom has an open wooden window to an alleyway where people could walk by, and there’s no shower curtain so it’s not too private. The shower head is quite low and can’t be moved up. The bathroom is shared with the host and another guest.
It’s a misleading title of the accommodation, and should be Guestroom Ruza.

Location
First of all, this is no guesthouse. These are just two bad rooms in the very poor apartment of the hostess. And you will have to share this apartment with them, including her elderly mother, whose door is almost opposite.
So you will not want to spend time here. Just sleep. But you will not succeed. The fact is that on the ground floor of the building, almost directly under the room there is an industrial laundry room. And an open window from it opens onto a staircase that leads directly to your window. Powerful centrifuges there begin to howl and vibrate from 5.00 AM and end late in the evening. Well, from 6.00 AM there still include music at full volume. Apparently, to work was not boring.
I could describe many more terrible shortcomings of this accommodation, but I believe that these facts are enough to recognize this option as completely unsuitable for recreation and for housing in general. Do not even think to consider this guesthouse. I'm afraid even a hostel will be much more comfortable.

The owner is very caring and friendly and helped me a lot (loaned me money!!!) when I lost my wallet. Good public transportation to Old Town , and fun local beach/bar/restaurant scene in the other direction.

The owner helps a lot. She gave me a lot of information about Dubrovnik, places to visit, local transport, etc. She also offers food and drinks whenever she sees you sitting at the terrace and is willing to give you any help or thing you need (maps, umbrellas, toiletries, hangers, etc). The terrace is very nice and the wifi works well. The place is not very close to any touristic area but is next to a bus stop which buses going in all directions. I think it is a good place to stay if you want to experience the Croatian culture and how is life there.
It was unexpected that the accommodation was actually a family's house that are renting two bedrooms through booking. The owner means well but she is a bit invasive sometimes, which gave me the feeling of staying at my grandma's. She also complains a lot. The bed was not very comfortable and the window looks at the terrace, which means that if there is someone there talking or smoking, it feels like you are right next to them. There is not shared kitchen, there is a kitchen but guests are not really welcome to use it. If you are going to leave early (before 9), don't expect breakfast. Payment is in cash (and preferably euros), so prepare it before going if you don't want to pay fees in ATMs.
