Winter in Dubrivnik

The owner was very helpful over whatsapp. Gave cleqr check in instructions and allowed me to leave my bag after check in. Also i could check in early as the bed was ready. It is winter season. Rooms are nice and big bed too. Nice touch was little snacks on the table to try from the owner as it had been a holiday.

Nothing really. It was a little cold but staff bought an electric radiator. It is a little far to walk for the old town but the bus is a 2 minute walk and with the Dubrovnik pass you can ride the buses.

highly recommend

I highly recommend Anchi Guesthouse! The location is great, with easy access to the Port and the bus station and just few stops with a public bus. The apartment was cozy and well-maintained, decorated in a lovely rustic style, which created a very cozy and warm atmosphere—it truly felt like a home away from home:D A special shout-out to the owner, who was extremely kind and friendly. His hospitality really made our trip to Dubrovnik special. I would definitely stay here again!

Good location, poor facilities

The location was very practical near the bus station. It was not too difficult to find the hostel and the self check-in information sent was correct and useful

The facilities are at a standard so low it's not suitable. Poeple staying in another dorm had to come through my dorm to get to theirs There are no places to place soap, hang towels and not even a toilet paper holder for toilet paper which is left on the ground of the shared facilities. The door to our dorm has a glazed window that does not block light from the halway which is on all night. There is very few places to plug in electronics Pillows and top sheets for beds are very thin Blankets provided in a basket are not suitable for beds in a hostel, they are not washable.

The location was good. It was friendly and it was away from the busy centre

The vents in the toilets and showers didn’t seem to work correctly and there was a musty smell. The shower curtain in one of the shower units needs replacing, the drains for both the showers and hand sinks need to be cleaned as they are slow to empty. The kettle in the kitchen also is dangerous as it the water pours through the top of the lid as well as the spout when pouring out the water unless the kettle is filled. The fridge in the kitchen also need to be cleaned out. I did not cook so cannot comment on cooking facilities.

Management and cleanliness needs lot of improvement

The location is just 5 mins from the main bus station. The house has a traditional courtyard, but mostly for private rooms. The staff were polite. There is a spacious living room, some food in the kitchen to use, and a balcony to relax.

The room I stayed needed me to pass through another dorm room. It felt bad disturbing a whole room of sleeping people everytime I needed to reach ours. The outside room was hot without ac, but mine had air conditioning. There were two toilets and bath/toilet shared between these rooms (about 9/10 people). And these were housed within the outer room, which was worse. When I checked in, someone was sleeping in my bed and she asked me to take another empty bed which I did. Dont know what would have happened if someone came later for the other bed, the property is not reachable 24/7. The reception opens super late, at 9 am! I waited for checking out, no one showed up till 9.15! I got delayed for my next part of the tour, had to call them and leave my luggage with the cleaning stuff. Not punctual. The kitchen sink was leaking with the entire floor covered in water.

A pleasant and convenient place for a one-night stay.

The best things were the nice staff (including the cat) and the location. It’s a good place if you need to stay one night before going to the port or the bus station. There’s a great brewery on the corner for those who enjoy craft beer.

I think I was a bit unlucky with the room I stayed in because it was close to the kitchen and quite warm. When they were cooking, some smells came into the room. The house is a bit old-fashioned, and a few repairs would make it even better.

At least 20 beds for one bathroom!!!

Right next to the bus station if you’re having an early bus but far away from the old town by foot. The outdoor area has so much potential. It was nice to have an area to hang out. The room was spacious and it had big lockers (bring your own lock)! There was a turtle 🐢 in the garden :)

The rest wasn’t very nice. There were way too many beds and people for the common area (kitchen + living room). Just one bathroom for at least 20 beds. It was impossible to go whenever you wanted. The hostel was packed and the size of the kitchen and living room weren’t enough. You could see 5 people trying to make dinner… Common areas were dirty (I mean, there were way too many people using them) and the smell of the hostel was terrific (cause of the water system). It felt that urine was coming out in the kitchen’s sink. Terrible. The garden also was frequented by terrific smells. Last but not least, there wasn’t hot water. When you wanted to turn the water hot, the water stopped coming out. Good trick so people shower quick as the queue was long.

Rooms, kitchen and balcony have enough space to meet other people , work remotely or even chill. The hostel is near the port and the bus station. I was able to self check in as i arrived late at night and then to keep my luggage after check-out.

Nice hostel/guesthouse, great price for the location, and being close enough to everything you need

Third time at Anchi. It’s clean, close to the bus station, a few bars, restaurants and a supermarket. Lovely little outdoor area, friendly staff/volunteers. There’s buses regular to the old town, but can also be walked in 35-40 mins. If I’m ever in Dubrovnik again, I will be staying here again.

The staff were helpful.

There was a bad smell from the drain. The shower didn't have a lock and wasn't clean. The fridge was impossibly full. The metal bunk beds were very noisy and wobbled every time someone moved, so it was difficult to sleep. It's also right next to the road, with traffic noise throughout the night.

Weekend trip to Dubrovnik -solo traveler

Very nice hostel with friendly atmosphere, kitchen&living room was nice to hang out with new friends, location is great just by the main bus station and grocery shop near by. Also nice bars& restaurants near by and more affordable prices than in old town Dubrovnik. I had a great stay and I hope to return to this hostel.

Don was great giving us lots of good information. Always helpful. Location was right by the bus station - easy walk. Then a bus ticket to downtown or other locations. The 5.33 euros for day pass on buses worked well. Guesthouse was clean and well-run; organized.

Nice place to stay if your bus is in early morning

Good location which is close to bus terminal. There is a bus stop nearby where you can take a city bus to old town.

We stayed in a double bed studio room. There is no heater in the bedroom ( heater is in the living room). The stove isn’t a gas stove, more like a heater which takes a bit of time to cook and kitchenware isn’t enough.

Perfect

The location is excellent, not far away from the bus station, and it was easy to find the guest house. The receptionist was really friendly and energetic. The guesthouse had lounges, multiple bathrooms, showers, and a kitchen (which is good, since Dubrovnik can be an expensive place for a budget traveler, so you can make your own food here). Beds were comfortable to sleep at. There were so many cats here, definitely made my experience here really fun 😺

The street would be a little noisy, but it's understandable, given the location. Lockers were small and weren't big enough for bigger backpacks, but it was okay since the guesthouse was peaceful during my stay there anyways.

it's really nice hostel.next to bus terminal and harbour, clean spacious room, terrace upstairs and garden downstairs. receptionists are presence,2 kitchens on the same floor with well functional equipments and heat🔥friges also 2,dining roo also 2,lot of spices and shared food. living room is so comfortable. WiFi 📶 📳 working well. free lockers with keys🗝 Showers🚿and toilets 🚽are enough for off season. guests are nice no residents. mainly backoakers, easy to mingle with. I really had nice time there.

Just price, I know it's World Heritage Site Duvrovnik but in pff season could be cheaper but still understandable

The hostel is located close to the bus station, eateries and supermarket. It also provides home-grown fruits - figs and grapes for free.

I requested for a lower bunk bed but was given an upper one. There was a lower bunk bed which was mine but was kept empty for nobody for the night.
