The area it was in is a cute beach town with a nearby beach of its own! The staff were very sweet and despite the language barrier did an amazing job!

I rarely submit a review but I’d rather save someone from this bad experience. Unfortunately my experience was terrible and probably the worst place I’ve stayed at. This place shouldn’t be displayed as hotel. I ended up leaving before my check out date, as well as 2 other guests. It Took almost 2 hrs to have a meal. Staff nowhere to be found. Roaches in the dinning room. Roaches in the spa. Roaches in the shower. Dirty property throughout (upholstery, floors, stairs, doors, glass and windows throughout …) Stained pillows. Mold in shower heads. Broken doors hanging from 1 hinge... on top of this the electricity went off (88 degrees) and not a single Apology from the manager/owner.

Wifi did not work in our room but staff went above and beyond to have it repaired for us. NEGATIVES A bit awkward at check in. It appeared staff did not know we had a reservation and I had to prove/show our reservation email several times on my phone which was not the smoothest check in after a long day of travel.

I purchased travel insurance because there was a huge chance for issues. Sure enough the airline canceled the flight within 24 hours of booking and the property kept saying cancel is possible but we had to do other steps. We followed the steps and more steps elsewhere were given to the point we were sent to a dead end.

Great hotel, staff and restaurant. Breakfast is wonderful and view is really nice, including turtle watching. You can hike to the Telégrafo and that is really cool. There is a small beach nearby. If you mostly want to stay “in” this is a great place!

WE loved our stay at Le Relais Marambaia. This is truly a hidden treasure. The place is beautiful, the accomodation are quite good, the staff is very pleasant and receptive to requests. There is a lot of room for social distancing in the common areas. They have a Spa that is amazing, you can get treatment looking at the ocean, the fish, and the turtles. Yes, there are a lot of turtles around the hotel waters.

WE loved our stay at Le Relais Marambaia. This is truly a hidden treasure. The place is beautiful, the accomodation are quite good, the staff is very pleasant and receptive to requests. Stayed here a week with the Wife. Vincent the manager ensured we had everything we needed. Helped set up trips and activities too. Very personalized service! The food was simply amazing here, with zero to complain about.

First off, the “King” size bed was actually 2 Single bed put together, and very poorly at that. For a hotel that charges well over $200 US Dollars per night should have King size beds as advertised! Later I find out the boiler broke so the hot tub was cold and useless. I can go on and on about what I found disappointing but I will say the breakfast was great. The only thing I liked.
