I was rather concerned about the practice that the access code for the lock is sent out only at 3pm on the arrival day; for travelers without cellular service in Italy that is a worry, but we had wifi on the train, so everything worked out well.
We came with the vaporetto, five minutes walking from the station: no problem. The apartment looks better from inside than outside; indeed it is a very nice and modern apartment, just what we needed for our three children. Everything in Venice is walkable, one needs to explore a bit, but there is a supermarket in 10-15min distance, as well as various restaurants. It is a bit out of the tourist zone, so a bit quieter, but the tourist places are in easy walking distance. We will be happy to use this apartment again, if we come again to Venice.

All-in-all a very nice place to stay and for us, we loved that it was a bit away from the more popular areas thus keeping it quiet but close enough to everything.
