    Overall experience is good. We are family of 3 staying for 4 nights here. The hotel is clean, breakfast is good. Ameneties is in place. Location is also great, a short walk to Gojo station. And its easy to roam alomg Kamo river. Just a bus ride away to Kawaramachi area and sanneza area. It will be perfect if the hotel front desk put up more smile.

    Stayed in a 16m^2 room and honestly, after staying in multiple 16m^2 rooms in Japan in multiple cities, this room felt the smallest out of all of them - for a solo traveler this room would be perfect. Didn’t utilize the facilities but the room was clean and the bathroom was spacious (I feel the property included this to the 16m^2 that was advertised) even for Japanese standards. Staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel is really close to the subway station with a 7/11 next door.

    It is close to many sites but not overwhelmingly touristy. The room we had wasn't large but comfortable. The communal bath and sauna were a big plus.

    I wasn't very happy with the service. My guests (I am a small tour operator,) liked the hotel. But I was not impressed with the service. I will probably not go back. The location is the only thing it has going for it.
