It was a time of refreshing and hotel was quiet enough for that. The breakfast was very nice and the room was warm which was what I needed.

Rooms were spotless and well kept, staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Of particular note was the lovely Wendy, the housekeeper who helped us with a room discrepancy. I regret that i didn't catch the name of the lovely blonde staff member at the front desk who also helped us with our room without delay or stress. Everyone was exceptionally kind and warm and the local area was beautiful even in the rain!

My stay at The Grand Hotel Swansea was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and comfortable, and the location is excellent — right next to the station, which makes everything very convenient. The pub was also great — lively atmosphere, good drinks, and a nice place to relax after a day out. Just one thing to note: if you prefer a room where you can open the window, make sure to mention it when booking, as not all rooms allow this. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I would definitely stay again.

The word Grand, is simply that specific to this property - our room faced the train station drop off are - so very noisy. Carpets in halls, were old, warn & in need of replacing. we felt that Swansea in general, is somewhat depressed. To us, not a place we would recommend visiting/staying - SPA007

We have stayed many times at the Grand Hotel because of its convenience for Swanesa Arena. Breakfast is always fantastic. Only given it 4 this time because room was a little dark and drab. Will ask for a different room next time.

Welcoming and friendly staff, comfy bed and great breakfast choice. We would certainly be happy to stay here again. The music in the restaurant during breakfast is a bit intrusive and parts of the hotel look a little tired but it’s certainly not enough to spoil the stay, this is mentioned as constructive feedback, not a complaint! It’s a lovely hotel.

From the time we stepped into the hotel the receptionist was so helpful and accommodating to the fact we were 3 hrs early . The bar is very relaxing and spacious the staff couldn’t do enough for you . We had an evening meal which was spectacular. And breakfast what a menu beautiful. Stayed in Bristol the night prior for half the money, cleaner hotel, better service, better amenities and no issues. The Grand was very expensive for the room quality, issues with the Aircon, no window to open, door frame hanging off, dirty carpet in the corridors, holes in the bathroom tiles, dirty pillows

Our initial twin room was very small and smelt strongly of bleech on entering. The aircon unit did not work so asked to be moved. Were moved to a room with a balcony. The balcony was dirty but the room was much more of a standard that we would have expected in the first place. The room photos on expedia are very deceptive and are similar to the upgraded room we ended up in rather than the standard room we initially booked.

Stayed overnight with friends in a triple room which is nice to have as an option. Not all hotels have this. Was a pretty basic room but would expect that for the price. Ideal location literally right outside the train station. More expensive rooms look lovely so would come again and give them a go. No early check in offered even if room is ready which is a shame.

Hotel location is pretty good. Stayed in a classic double room which is said to have air con…. It’s one of the hottest weeks of the year and I purposed searched for air con rooms. NO AIR CON!! Also bathroom absolutely stunk of bleach. To the point my feet were stinging when I first used the shower.

What a find! Just staying the one night with my son for a Uni open day - really convenient for the station. Room spacious and clean. Was raining when we arrived late in the evening so chose to fine in the bar which had a nice ambience, good food selection and really friendly staff - which we found throughout.If he comes to Uni here - we will be back!
